i love watching movies all the time. this had been my passion for many years. when bored and just can't do anything, i just pick up a VCD or DVD from my collection and play it. i can just sit down on our living room sofa and watch movies... more so, i feel relaxed after.
actually, i have more than 30 films on my collection which i haven't seen yet. i love buying movies on VCD and DVD. for one, i can watch them anytime and i can watch them over and over again.

I have an overwhelming DVD collection, counting in for the moment at around 500 or so. I just got rid of a bunch, actually. Then there's the VHS movies, which I'm slowly replacing with DVD ... I have about 200 of those, not counting the Disney Classics collection for my kids, of which I have the complete set. Yeah, you could say I'm a bit of a movie addict. I like to see everything that comes out, even just to say I've seen it. We watch very little tv in my house, but a hell of a lot of movies. [Ciniful]

Well, I perfer to be a critic!;) LoL I review movies, try to look at the story first, then watch it whenever I get intrigued by how the story goes. Most of the times, I prefer for those movies which are critically acclaimed and are with best castings. Stories about triumph, true-to-life, inspirational and comedy flicks are what I mostly love to watch. Though I never get a chance now of adding some of the DVD/VCD's on my collections, I still try to find a way to look at reviews!;) [raijin]
wow! i wish i have that kind of patience, too---reviewing first before buying. but nope. mostly, i just grab the one with a nice title, read the synopsis at the back, see the casts and the production and if i'm impressed, i buy it. hehe. i admit there are movies i bought which is far down my expectation. LOL Yea I am definately a movie junkie! I recently got rid of over 100 movies and we still have a good 275+ and I am buying some more this weekend LOL I spend a good deal of time alone so watching movies is what I do to entertain myself while I'm workin out or doing paperwork etc etc....and my kids are movie nuts too so thats one of those "our time" things ya know.. I guess I'd have to consider myself an addict. I have about 100 DVDs and a bunch of VHS that I'm replacing as they become available on DVD, and as I can afford them. I don't have much money or space or my movie collection would be much larger, but I rent from Netflix, so I'm hardly ever without something new to watch. I'm also very selective about what I spend my money on, so my collection is movies that I know I'll watch many times. [unusualsuspect]

same here, i can't count our dvd's and vcd's at our house. but still we kept on buying new dvd. i love watching tv series now, i've started to buy some like lost, grey's anatomy and many more. just my hobby and if i feel bored i just turn on the dvd player and watch. i can watch whole day without going out of the house. i am not a television fanatic. the only tv shows i have really watched is lost, 24 and CSI Las Vegas. i have heard that grey's anatomy, boston public, desperate housewives and house are great television shows, too. and yet, i haven't watched them. but certainly, i got prison break's seasons 1 and 2 on my DVD and wow! i just can't get off my seat! i love watching it! Every since we joined the Netflix movie rentals, I have definitely become a movie addict. I never used to make time to sit down and watch movies or any television shows for that matter. When we joined Netflix, we started getting 3 movies in the mail at a time to watch and then we send them back and get 3 more. We like to watch these new releases and send them back as quick as possible so we can have 3 more sent to us. I can watch some of them over and over again, but we like to move on to the next new release and we can always get one of the old ones again any time we want to. We rent some of the old ones too that we haven't seen for a long time. [stephcjh]

I love watching movies. I am one that will watch a movie time and again if it was one that moved me. My husband will only watch a movie more than once if it is one that he likes. By watching the movie you can forget your own problems and enjoy it, if it is tured out movie based on best theme. I used to see plenty of movies when I was young. After introduction of VCD and DVD I hire them from shop and watch only the best movies. Slowly I am loosing interest on movies because now-a-days except few all are not attracting my attention. Of course I have collection of VCD and DVD movies of old classical and few modern movies. [navtech]

I watch only those which interest me. There are times though when I watch along with my kids even if I am not that interested. My kids have acquired quite a pile of movies already. I don't watch with them all the time. The problem is, if I watch a few too many, I end up not understanding anything of what is being played right in front of me. My proof is in the ammount of DVDs that I own. at the present time I own somewhere around 250 DVDs. I am also a subscriber to both Netflix and Blockbuster online, and the blockbuster and hollywood video stores in my area. I think this qualifies me as a movie addict. [tjhockey53]

Prove it huh? Hmmm For one, i go to cinema for almost every new one that comes out every week especially the most raved movie. I almost cant stop myself for that. If i do, i buy dvds. We have almost 200 dvd collection accumulated now because of how much we have bought before. We decided to just rent it out even to return the money rather than have it sitting around. Also, even before when i was in college, everytime i come home for the weekend or vacation, first stop when i arrive is the rental place. I borrow vhs tapes of 5-6 movies. And i specifically saved up some of my allowance for this too. :) So have i proven it to you?:) [sechsey]

Nothing beats a good or great movie. I have been doing a lot of dvd recording and dubbing to dvd from vhs so I can get rid of my vhs. I have managed to record about 120 movies so far and my regular dvd collection is around 100. I seldom watch regular tv myself, but there is always a movie of some kind on. I am a member of netflix so I watch a movie first and if its good I add it to the list to buy or record. [sumofalltears]

Movies are my hobby. I don't have that many that I own, but I have watched so many movies over the years, I couldn't even begin to fathom the number. I'm not sure where or how it started, but my love of movies is huge. I currently rent movies through Netflix. If I could have anything, I would love to have enough money to rent an unlimited amount of movies to watch and own. I never get bored watching movies. I get taken in by movies and just hate when they end. I like watching movies much more than reading. I know you use your imagination more when reading, but I get frustrated with reading and don't have the patience at times. I am a kung Fu film addict..I have nearly all of Jet Li's movies and loads of other ones..but they are in U.K but I only watch one movie a week here cos I am too busy mylotting and hubby watches all the news channels during the week so he can produce his show..I am editing his clips as we speak and mylot lol. I'm a big movie fan, but I hate going to the movies. I'd rather stay home and watch them when they come out on DVD. To make it more pleasurable, we bought a big screen tv. I definitely have favorite movies I can watch over and over and some are very old like "The Wizard of Oz". I love funny movies and those are the ones I watch when I'm feeling stressed out. Does owning more than 4000 (yep, four thousand) movies dated from the fifties (a few may be earlier than that) to today make you a movie adict? LOL ~ then I guess I am. I can't count how many movies I've watched. It's almost easier to count how many movies I haven't watched. I watch about 2 or 3 movies every single day.
