I can and I love watching movies and what about you, can you watch the movie for so long without getting up?

Yeah that's true.I would prefer to watch a movie for 4 continuous hours if only the movie is worth to be sitting idle to watch. I have done that several times and it was great so far the movie is one of my favorite. [med889]

I haven't tried and I don't think I can without getting up! I know I can watch or stared in the TV screen for 9 hours because I've done this once, but that's with the break, like going to the rest room and eating. happy [CJay77]
Hello then maybe I think you just need to try to watch one while you are free and try to do it with a movie of 2 hours then gradually try it with a movie of 3 hours and finally here you are with a film of 4 hours. [med889]
That's pretty easy. I usually start watching movies at night preferably around 9 to 10pm. I usually download movies online so sometimes i have abundance of films pending. So i would watch at least two of them. By estimate, it can run more than 3 hours. So i guess that depends on the length of the film too. Well there are movies that can run for 2 hours or more so i guess 4 hours is just equivalent to 2 movies. [modstar]

I can. And I did. I watched the full three Lord of the Rings in one seating. I started in the morning and ended late at night. Of course I had to get up for lunch as my stomach really growled at me. But didn't eat my dinner after I finished the return of the king. [amoyube1980]

I think i could if I was really comfortable and the movie was very interesting, I've sat still for 6hours before, when i had a tv series marathon, but that was my favourite show so it felt like no time at all. For 4 hours it would have to be a really good movie though. [sammyspam]

4 hours is a long time. I think I would probably have to go to the bathroom during that time period. I think there are many movies that are worth watching for four hours but I think that there are some that are going to necessitate taking breaks. I just dont see myself siting still for that long of a time. It just wouldnt work for me. [snowy22315]
Maybe you just need to try something similar with only 2 hours for the first time and then gradually trying a movie with 3 and 4 hours, maybe you will feel more keen to do it if the movie is one of you favorite. [med889]

When I have an off day from work and like when I just stay home and take my rest and all lazy, I could sit and watch movies or tv shows online for hours.. Well, if like 4 hours straight of watching without getting up, I'm not sure if I tried doing that, like peeing or getting food.. That'd be a little difficult, well, maybe unless the show or movie is really, really good.. Well I have seated for hours with the Titanic movie, plus all the trailer and stuff, total would be roughly 4 hours or maybe or so.. happy [smooch091784]

Yes, I can.. actually, i have done that before.. i didn't get up just to watch three movies continuously.. and there's one TV series that made me glued on my bed for five straight hours and that was Prison Break.. Prison Break is one of my favorite TV series'.. i am looking forward to seeing the next season.. [gracie04]

Hello med889, I am not sure if I would be able to sit in a theater for four continous hous without getting up. I have watched a movie for over three hours but I was getting tired of sitting still. I can watch a movie at home for that long because I can put the film on pause. [ds6413]
I have never been to the cinema to watch such a long movie but at home I did and I do it still, I found it more practical to be able to lie down or sit as you want on the bed to watch the movie. [med889]
It all depends on the movie in question. I can easily watch "Once Upon A Time in America" which comes in just short of 4 hours at 3 hours 49 minutes without getting up. But that is because it has so much going on and a story line which keeps dragging you in deeper and deeper so that you lose the sense of time. I get the same whenever I watch the godfather trilogy. But then I can watch the whole of the first Lord of the rings movie without several breaks as it doesn't really do it for me and that one is just over 3 hours long. On a slightly different note I have watched 6 movies back to back with only toilet/ food breaks in between each one. Sad I know, lol. [thedailyclick]

Most of the hindi movies here in India are very long duration movies which also may be for about four hours.It depends that I get up or not.Taking fast food during film viewing is a very common practice of mine,so I have to get up a couple of times.Also,have to take a break to go to the toilet.Seeing a four hour long movie at a stretch is a tedious matter. I have seen movies for 4 hours, for example, Rose Red a movie by stephen King which was near to 4 hours then I have also seen movies from India which lasted for very long like Devdas, and other movies by the protagonist. I love watching Hindi movies and now that I understand the language a bit, its a pleasure watching them. The last one is Slumdog Millionaire and I love the song "Jai Ho" Which is also in english now;-) [med889]

It depends on the movie. I don't think I've come across a 4 hour movie yet. I've sat through all of Titantic, Schindler's List, Lord of the Rings, Tommyknockers, Shawshank Redemption, etc. without having to get up. Like would I find one good enough to or would I be physically vapable to? I could do it for sure but would I find a movie enjoyable enough to? No. I fins myself getting bored in most movies anyway. Plus it would be hard to do it if I was getting paid for it haha but I would if I was getting paid. I would never do it if I wasn't being tested even if it was a good movie. I am not ADD but somehow the older I get the more bored I get with things. When I was child they said I was the perfect kid I could sit through anything perfectly and never complained. In fact, when I was in the womb, my mom said they though I was dead for a weak because i was so still and they could not lodate a heartbeat. haha. i do a marathon every three months, i have the Star Wars Full Hexa-logy and i make a habit of sitting down and watching three parts, then a 30 min rest, then 3 parts, so that is almost 7 hours each time, can you do it ? [s8tern]

Hello med889, That's what my husband and I do every weekend. Normally we watch two or three movies continuously. I even did this once - me, my sister and my nephews went to watch movies at the cinema continuously without a break. We bought three tickets for three movies and were in and out of the different theater halls for half a day! [gr8life]
