Usually the comedy movies make people laugh and happy. But did you ever cry for a comedy movie? I did. Lately I watched a comedy movie called Click. Michael Newman has a remote control which can control his life. He can speed it up or skip some parts. Everything were messed up at last. He missed many important parts in his life. His wife also divorced with him. At last he felt sorry to use this remote control and it's the end of his life already. I was sad and cried for it. But as all comedy movies, it will have a happy ending. But this movie does have some moving parts.

not really... cry laughing, yes! i haven't cried in a comedy movie because its moving, even for all those serious scenes. [lrglara]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
I think I may cry for a comedy movie, because some comedy tragedy, though we feel happy at that time, but when I think of this,I don't feel happy, such as the film of Chaplin's. [kekexinfeng]
Chaplin's movies are old ones. [youless]
Comedy movies sometimes has mushy and cheey scenes in it which makes me cry. The last movie I saw which I considered to be as comedy was UP. I cried during the first and last quarter of the movie. For those who have not watched it, it is a movie of an old man (Carl) who flew his way to South America in his house powered by a thousand or more ballons. Unfortunately a kid (Russel) who wants to earn a badge for helping the elderly got stuck with him in his house. The journey was really funny. But the first parts of the movie was about how Carl met his wife, them not being able to have children, and his wife Ely dying ahead of him leaving him alone. For those who have not watched it , find time. it is a moving and a funny story rolled into one. [JOIEMARVIC]
I haven't watched this movie yet. I think it is more like a touching movie. [youless]
Hi there!happy I have seen a lot of comedy movies that made me cry. But yes in the end a comedy movie is always a happy ending. I like comedy movies that has a deeper meaning and not just full of gags that make people laugh. I like movies that has something to impart to it's viewers. Some people also say that comedians are the best in making people cry and I believe that. Ciao!wink [iskayz]
Yup! I am a very emotional person. I even cry watching cartoons hehelol [iskayz]
I tried laughing with tears but not crying. I will watch that someday to see if we have the same reaction. thanks for sharing! Ü [koalapenguin]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
nah, i don't think i have that experience. Most of the time, i cry for sad movie or touched movie. Or i laugh too hard that my tear drops. I think this comedy must be great to combine the funny part and moved part together!happy I haven't watch it yet. [vivianchen]
Perhaps you shall watch this movie?wink [youless]
ya i did try a comedy once in child hood! [karanbm]
I will try to watch this movie. [youless]
hey hey hey, hmmn let me think.. I think not yet^^ it wont be a comedy movie if you cry.I guess.. [flipjim2]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
Depends upon the flim genere the dominatiing factor of the flim considered as a theme . U Say that flim Click is a comedy movie but you said that you cried . i have little doubt about the flim . What s the dominating factor of the flim is it comedy or tragedy ? [AjithAnnadurai2009]
In comedy scenes are you laughing or criying ? [AjithAnnadurai2009]
Hi, No, never before nor now have I cried after watching a comedy movie. But what you watch was more mechanical I guess and in this case accidents are quite predictable. By the way did he kept people amused till his unfortunate end? [krajibg]
When he was dying, he did make some funny behaviors, but somewhat I still feel sad for him. [youless]
Wow, this sounds like my kind of film, I can't believe I have missed it, or rather haven't seen it. I have often wondered what it would be like to be able to fast forward using a remote control or even rewind back which I think would be far more useful. I don't think I'd want to speed things up though. Thank you I will definitely be looking out for this film to watch! Is it a recent one I wonder. I find it very difficult to cry at the best of times, however I can cry with laughter, so much that tears are rolling down my cheeks due to the fact that I am laughing too much, usually when I watch comedies like Golden Girls and One Foot In The Grave. [wolfie34]
I am glad to hear that. At first I didn't have a high expectation to this movie as the actors and actresses are not famous to me. But it did make me cry badly. This movie can be fun, but when you realized that you have missed some important moments, such as the actor missed to see his dad when his dad passed away. He ignored his family all the time. It is sad. [youless]
yes i have, it could happen in some romantic comedy. (this is a kind of comedy too right?) well but most of comedy movie make me laugh loudly. for your movie. it's kind of sad story though but it's kept as comedy. then it must have the happy ending at the end. [siZidni]
I think Mrs. Doubtfire is a great comedy but unfortunately the ending is signing. [youless]
i have seen that movie .it is a hilarious movie .i don't cry seeing comedy movies. [geo_raju]
I think everybody sees something indifferently. [youless]
Nah!! I have never cried in comedy movie but laughed so much that my stomach got hurt. Once I was watching 'Hungama' Oh my God, it was really so funny movie..From the starting to the ending I was laughing you know. The movie you watched must be comedy thriller which made you cry. Ya..Take care!!Keep smiling.. [airakumar]
I haven't watched the movie you mentioned yet. [youless]
i rarely recat while watching movies. this is so because i neither my life to the story nor to any character. when we ralate ourselves to the stories then we get emotionally attached to the movie. in your case too, you feel the persons plight when his wife divorced him or when he mised important moments of life. the movie touched your heart and you wept. [abanerji]
You are right. I think this is the reason why I cried in such a comedy movie. As to me, family always goes first. But this man realized it too late. And this is his last words to his son. [youless]
I watched that movie as what I remembered Adam Sandler was given a remote to control his life. In the end the remote controls his life. He misses some important moments in his life and the remote ruined his family. Despite the success he found himself alone. I don't cried in this movie. The comedy movie that I cried is My Sassy Girl the korean version. The story in the latter part of the movie makes me cry. The movie is good and really funny. [agv0419]
The movie My Sassy Girl is very famous and I think in some time all girls want to be sassylol [youless]
often ,I cried for a comedy monvie . Because I think some moving section is indeed call for our moved .And I often moved by those which show actors' good spirit. [yueguangzhuzhu]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
Hi friend, Till now i haven't seen this kind of comedy movie.Because of that i haven't cried. But after reading your discussion i felt sad.May be if i see the movie in TV i may cry. Have a nice day [sudhajosyula50]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
Generally there are very few instances of people crying for a comedy movie. May be due to laughing too much sometimes tears roll out of the eyes, The story in a comedy movie only aims at making the people enjoy it wholly and rarely involves tragic scenes. Even if there are any tragic scenes it is overcome by the comedy in it and the audience enjoy it more and leave behind the tragedy. [yogambal_64]
But this comedy movie seems to have a deeper meaning. Perhaps sometimes we also ignore our family due to work. [youless]
Sometimes i will cry for a comedy movie,if it touch my heart.I prefer for the movies that have happy endings, that will make me feel happy too. [coralfeng]
I cried after watching Click, the comedy movie starred by Adam Sandler because it really teaches you to value more important things in life like family, love and time. Sometimes we do kinda take these things for granted as we go through life which is why i cried at the end of the movie. Click has such a funny and heartwarming story. :) [lealuvy2j]
You are right. We have to remember that family goes firsthappy [youless]
Well I rarely cry after watching a movie. And crying after watching a comedy movie is totally out of question. However if you laugh too much then also your eyes get wet.I cried in that way. There was a bollywood movie called No Entry. It was so hilarious that tears came to my eyes out of laughter.. [Shames]
Perhaps you are a strong personhappy [youless]
Yes, but a laughing cry, during wild hogs, great movie, but some movies are like romantic comedies and some people may cry during that [Behringer]
Sometimes it can be a cry because of the sadness. [youless]
Usually comedy movie makes you laugh but sometime you laugh till tears comes for me I only laugh when I watched comedy movie and not cry. [agrant24]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
There are many comedies that have very tear-jearky endings. The guy and girl get together, or the family finally reunites and forgives each other...that kind of stuff. Over all, the movie is a comedy, but those happy endings always get s my tears flowing. One of my favorite comedies, While You Were Sleeping, with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman, has my sides hurting usually from laughing even after watching it a bunch of times, but at the end I always have to reach for some tissue. Ok, I'm a big cry-baby.cry [uicbear]
I watched the movie While You Were Sleeping, it is a nice love moviehappy [youless]
I'm a big crybaby. I am very emotional and cry at movies all of the time. I love a good comedy and sometimes they make me cry, too. Just depends on the show. I was watching a tv show last night and ended up bawling. It was so sad. I used to be embarrassed by it and my husband used to tease me, but now he leaves me alone. I love a movie that is good enough to get me emotionally involved. The Guardian was the most recent movie I watched and I bawled at the end of that one. UGH! My husband says "it's just a movie" but I don't care. It touched me anyway. [lisado]
When I cried for a movie, my husband will tease melol [youless]
No I never cry for comedy movies,it is for mind relasation [sathish2018]
not often.i like to watch comedy movies.but many times i often laugh out when i watch it.but if i watch the moving plot,i will cry. [kapitu]
Thanks for your reply. [youless]
Like you I have. It seems when I watch a movie I really REALLY get into it. I dont watch them often thou. I watched the Princess Diaries with my daughters and at parts I laughed until I bawled like a baby. Then there were a few scenes that made me cry when it came to her thinking about her dad. Yeah Im a bawl baby! lol [Ithink]
It is a nice movie. [youless]
oh yes i do...many times! i think comedy films are not just made to make people laugh...coz usually, its stories are something serious and yes moving...its just actors are doing it in a comedy manner but if we really focus ourself on the story and not just the acts...i think most comedy movies have touching parts... the recent comedy that i have watched that make me cry is the movie called "Step Brothers" i just forget the name of the actors...the movie is good, acting is nice and yes it really makes me laugh out loud!lol but on the last part of the movie when one of the lead actor sings this song...and past is suddenly going back on everybody's thought...oh oh...i just find my self wiping my own tears! hehehe maybe its the joy and overwhelming feeling...i just don't understand but i really feel something in my heart that triggers my tears to fall...happy [ckyera]
actually the movie is about two men that i think they are already on their 30's or 40's and they are still dependent to their parents...the mom of the other one marries the father of the other one...what's funny about that is that they are acting like a kid despite of their age! hahaha and they are somehow a brat...but of course there's something happens and they change and so on so forth... the movie click by the way, i also watched that and yes its great..comedy yet touching! and of course with moral lessons... [ckyera]
I think I've actually watched this movie. Wasn't the lead actor Jim Carrey? This movie is OK. It's a comedy, but it has sadness in it at the same time. I think this movie emphasizes the moral lesson of accepting hardships in your life no matter what because even hardships make life worth living. It's like looking at both sides of a coin. You can't appreciate the good things in life if you've never experienced bad things. [angelajoy]
I think you meant another movie. The movie Click is starring by Adam Sandler. [youless]
Yeah I saw that movie. Some of those comedy movies are sad. Have I ever cried at one of these movies. I can't really say. I usually cry and movies based off a true life event as I can get into those characters heads more. Some of the comedy movies do have releavance to my life and there are sad parts, such as death of a loved one I can relate too. [sprinter1010]
The death of loved one always makes us sad. [youless]
I have watched the movie Click like 4 times and it does hit me the same way each time in the same spots..I do get teary when he is laying in the rain dying and he is surrounded by his family...it is really touching.. [mtdewgurl74]
Yeah, it is a very moving scene. [youless]
Yes. There are some comedy movies that makes me cry. Those scenes where the actor is sad. The latest comedy film that I saw was Bruno. It was hilarious but I got teary eyed when he felt like there was no hope for him. It was so moving. [hornetlover]
It sounds like it is a good movie. I will try to look up more information for this movie. [youless]
You're right I cried watching 'Click' too! It is really touching! Though comedy movie supposed to make people laugh only, but yeah, some comedy movies have some touching shots! I can't hold my tears when I'm watch moving scenes! [candy2306]
We are both emotionalhappy [youless]
I remember that Movie.first i thought it was all funny and comedy, but watching the last scene was like...uhhhh..this is a comedy, right? my brother was like..no way it became like drama or something. well, there is a lesson there, am just not sure if am in the position to say it since am going through that characters stage. [LetranKnight25]
Then remember family always goes first. [youless]
Hi youless! I haven't seen you lately. Where have you been? It's good to see you back. No, I never have cried at a comedy. Just about all of the comedies I've seen are funny.w00tlol Some of them are a little too silly in my opinion.doh Kathy. [cyrus123]
Actually I am still active here everyday. But I just respond more discussions rather than posting my own discussions. [youless]
Comedy movies made me cry coz of too much laugher. If it is really hillarious and so incredible funny ,i do laugh so much and it makes me crying. Well it's a tears of joy, not a tears of sadness. And also it makes me belly aching w00t [rainmark]
That's happy tears. [youless]
The movie "50 First Dates" made me cry. [nonersays]
Perhaps I have watched this movie. [youless]
no, but sometimes i laugh so hard that tears will come to my eyes. i have not seen any movies that does not have a serious part to it even though they are comedy. they are about people's life or problems and even though they are funny they still are sad parts too. [happy6162]
Perhaps you shall watch this movie Click. Maybe you will feel the same like me?wink [youless]
I did think that movie was sad as well as funny. But i did not cry over it. I am a movie crier but i think it would have to be more tragic and realistic than a life controlling remote. It is very sad to think he would have had to go through that longer without the remote even though he could have changed the decision made. I think they were trying to show us not to be absent in our lives. [ShibbyKid]
Thank you, everyone is in their own way.(: [ShibbyKid]
When I saw this thread I inmediatly came to think about Click. That movie shouldn't even be considered as a comedy after the first hour. I mean, it gets terribly tragic after Adam Sandler loses everything he wanted. [kotee2]
Yes it has comedy elements, but at the same level than tragic elements. Well, it is a comedy after all, just with more dramas than the usual ones xd [kotee2]
Never. What makes anyone cry in comedy movie? Everybody knows that it is not real and that too comedy and I do not find single reason to cry for someone in comedy movie. There is only laugh and laugh and lot of humor. [magicalangel]
Perhaps I am just emotional. There are many scenes in this movie made me shed tears. [youless]
OMG! I read the title of the discussion and immediately thought about click even before i read what you had said. I was completely surprised when i saw click. I thought that since Adam Sandler was the main character it would be a silly movie. I was even more surprised when i found that there was actual substance within the movie. It was inspiring and i couldn't keep my eyes dry. I saw it in theaters as well so it was even more dramatic. Then i would go from moments of intense tears to moments when i was laughing so hard. It was a great roller coaster ride of a movie and i would totally recommend it! [laurahen]
How amazing it islol I cried in many scenes in this movie. Such as when Adam Sandler went back to the date when his dad passed away, he said to his dad: I love you. I cried. I think sometimes I also make the same mistake. I also ignore my dad and I also should let him know that I love him. [youless]
HI youless,i didn't remember which comedy movie i ever cried.anyway,i live comedy and it always make me laught out lot.all of them are old movie now it is not easy to watch comedy movie .maybe classic comedy movies from Hongkong and i liked them much.especially ,Zhouxingchi or other famous stars .they acted very good ! [cindyhxf]
Perhaps you shall watch Click. It is a moving comedy. [youless]
I never cry out of a comedy show. Well, i spend my whole day at work, and i am already stressed out when i get home. This is the reason why i just watch adventure, comedy or inspirational movies. I do not like horror ans suspense, as i would like to relax more. Then, if i will be watching comedy shows, these shows should not be those that will make me more tired. The light comedy shows would actually be best for me. This is why i never cry out of laughter. [safejunk]
It is out of my expectation to watch a comedy but cried for it. The movie Click is amazing. [youless]
I watched that movie a year ago. and I did cry too! It's a nice movies. Though basically it is a comedy movie, it's an eye opener for those who would like to control everything not knowing that they are loosing a lot on the other side of it. So, you are not alone!!!! [gsgonzalez2007]
You are right. This movie did move my heart. Perhaps sometimes I also act the same like this actor. [youless]
I also had seen Click and cried in the movie too. I cried because the father of Adam Sandler there died and her wife has a different husband. Except Click , I don't remember any comedy movie that I cried. Comedy movei is comedy for me. [grecychunny26]
Yes, it made me sad. [youless]
i most definately have, but it is not a comedy movie per say the movie bad boys 2 with martin lawrence and will smith is just hilarious the humor in that movie had me weeping tears. [moolacash]
Thanks for your response. [youless]
Yes! I did. I cried for the romantic comedy movie " Sassy Girl" it's a Korean film. It's comedy but yet in the last part it was so heartwarming that it made me cry.The name of the leading lady was not mention all throughout the movie. [ilovechocolate]
I watched this movie, toowink [youless]
