Who do you think is the funniest comedian you have ever seen or heard? This could be someone who is no longer even alive, or maybe someone who isn't a stand up comic, but plays a comedic role in movies often or TV. I think Chris Rock is hilarious, although I only watch him when he's edited. Don't really like all the cursing. What do you think?

for me i like rowan atkinson, especially when he portrays as mr. bean, with less talk and full of facial expressions, he looks hilarious [cecilsevera]
My husband like totally different comedians then me. He loves Larry the Cable Guy,Jeff Foxworthy,Bill Engvall, but he doesn't like Ron White the one on comedy central that drinks alot. I like also George Lopez and Carlos Mencia from mind of mencia.. [mtdewgurl74]
I have two favorites and that is Robin williams who can alwyas raise my spirits when I am down as he did for the troops and Jim Carey. I have a few others as well though. I like basically anyone who is a comedian. Steve martin is hilarious in some of his roles he plays like Bringing Down The House with the Queen Latithia(excuse spelling)..and a few others Adam Sandler, just to name a few extras..gotta love the funny or they would be no money..you can only take so much romance, action and drama before you hit burnout. But funny never goes out of style. [mtdewgurl74]
Robin Williams and Jim Carey are two of my favorites too! [jillhill]
Robin Williams. I like him as a comedian and an actor. I saw him a long time ago from Rockafeller center and he was so funny my side was in stiches from laughing. [jillhill]
I would love to see a famous comic in person. [AmbiePam]
I love the Blue Collar boys, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy but I use to think there was no one else like George Carlin, and since I heard on the news this morning that he has passed away, I am voting for Good old George.. He was great with adult humor, a bit too much for my tastes, but when hubby watched, I tried not to and would read a book instead, but I always belly laughed when he told a good one.. [DonnaLawson]
I like Jeff Foxworthy, Jeff Dunham and Paula Poundstone. [ElicBxn]
I always watched Red Skelton but I think my favorite is Tim Conway! I always thought he was so funny. It is great to watch comedians, I will only watch clean acts, because laughter is good medicine. LOL Have a blessed day! [mamacathie]
Thank you for that encouragement. You made my day, it was a little "down" so you picked me up. That is what MyLot is all about. God bless you and have a great day! [mamacathie]
I do like Chris Rock in the Rush Hour movies, I don't like the cursing either and so have never watched any stand up routine that he may have. There are a couple that I could just about watch anytime they are on though...Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. [jer31558]
Chris Tucker is equally as funny though. : ) [AmbiePam]
George Carlin who just passed away, Dom Delouise, Robin Williams are amomg my favorites. I'm not for some of the latest ones, too much cursing. I grew up with Red Skelton Jackie Gleason. Sid Ceaser, Milton Berle. There were so many good comedians years ago compared to now a days, I have to add Johnny Carson to the mix, plus Carol Burnett, I could go on forever. [sherlock27]
Carol Burnett was fabulous. [AmbiePam]
To me the funniest comedian is "Jerry Louis". He made so many movies together with Dean Martin. I very much enjoyed those movies, and just could not stop laughing throughout the movies. Ofcourse Bob Hope was an idol too ! [greenline]
I absolutely love the Blue Collar Comedy Guys. I've seen all their videos with Larry the Cable guy, Jeff Foxworthy, and Bill Engvall. My husband got me into them (I had never heard of them). George Lopez is one of my favorites. I love his stand up as well as his tv show that is no longer on the air. I watch all the reruns and never get tired. I like Tim Allen and Will Smith was so funny back in his Fresh Prince days. I am also not a fan of cursing so I prefer to watch sitcoms unless the cussing is bleeped out on stand up. [Kittykarina25]
Do you watch Bill Engvall's sitcom on TBS? [AmbiePam]
I have to give mention to George Carlin who just passed away today at the age of 71. He's always been one of my favorites and I recently watched his newest special on HBO and thought it was very good. Among my other favorites are Robin Williams, Steve Martin, the late Richard Pryor, Larry the Cable Guy, Wanda Sachs and Ellen Degenerous. Those are just a few, there are many others I'm forgetting right now. Some of the comedians do use too much vulgar language but I guess it depends where and when they're performing. Annie [anniepa]
I adore Dane cook . My brother got me hooked a few years back when he showed me a tape of his . I would love to see him live one day . I just got done watching a movie of his good luck chuck and couldn't stop cracking up . There is also something about his voice I just love . I also love Jim Carrey and George Carlin( rest in peace) Chris Rock is pretty funny too . [metschica25]
George Carlin by far. I am so sorry I never got to see him perform live. He died yesterday. If you haven't heard 'Seven Words You Can't Say on The Radio/TV" check it out at youtube. Hilarious! AND a great social commentary on how we are censored to death. [isabeliever]
When John Belushi did his impersonation of Joe Cocker on Saturday Night Live, that was the funniest thing I ever saw anywhere. [KarenO52]
The great Harvey Korman was a favorite of mine,i love George Lopez he really get my funny bone,Robin Williams makes laugh so hard i just want to cry. [eachen2002]
I have seen too many to have just one favorite. I seen and loved Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Buddy Hackett, johnny Carson,Andrew " Dice" Clay, and Sam Kinison. But the best laughs I ever had were from the work of Neil Simon. The movies based on his work are better than any of my favorite comedians [sarahruthbeth22]
Jim Carey and Michael V.(pinoy) [chayd825]
he's one of our local comedian here in the Philippines. For me he can even beat most of the American or any international comedian. [chayd825]
I have several favorites. Pablo Francisco is known as the "preview man comedian". He impersonates the movie trailer guy and he does other good impressions of different people and cultures. Another comedian I like is Russell Peters. He's mocks his own indian heritage and loves impersonating indian people (from india, not indian americans). Another comedian is Louis C.K very funny but he often cusses in his jokes. Another comedian is Margaret Cho. She tells it how it is! You can check them all out on youtube. [coolchic101]
I like Adam Sandler movies. He has this kind of sarcastic kind of funny, and I think it's hilarious. Will Ferrell is becoming pretty funny to me too, though. I guess I like most of the actors/comedians on SNL or MadTV. [trell8402]
My favorite Will Farrell skit was the cheerleaders he did with Cheri O'Teri. I thought that was hilarious. [AmbiePam]
unfortunetly,he died yesterday.i used to love george carlin's sense of humor.some of the things he came up with to ponder were just amazing.you wondered why he'd even be thinking about it lol the whole skit about "meatcake" had me rolling. [scarlet_woman]
I love Chelsea Handler! She is terribly raunchy, but really hits celebs and stuff hard with reality checks. She even tells lots of hollywood secrets about contracts with tabloids and stuff, which was talked about heavily on a TV show based on the tabloids (Dirt). [Katesmama]
lolWell there are so many comedians that make me roll on the floor with laughter. George Carlin, who just passed away recently was funny. I watched some of his old routines on youtube last night. His old routine of Al Sleet ... the Hippy Dippy weatherman is hysterical! I thought Richard Pryor was hilarious, I thought Eddie Murphy was funny in his early years ... and Chris Rock is funny too! I love Steve Martin ... his "King Tut" routine is so funny. Bill Cosby in the early days was really funny. Alan King was a funny guy! rasp [barbiedollgirl]
Bill Cosby really had it going. He wasn't just funny, but he made his humor bite with social commentary that was relevant, but didn't make it seem as though he was forcing it down our throats. [AmbiePam]
George Carlin...since 1973...followed closely by Richard Pryor. Neither one is with us anymore. Redd Foxx was another legend. Among the non-dead: Robin Williams and Steven Wright. [calcynic]
if you have a gub, you'd better "apt" naturally. You might end up living a meager life selling meagers. [calcynic]
My all time favorite is Jerry Lewis.I just adore him. [balasri]
I think they asked that question because Jerry Lewis is more popular in France than anywhere else in the world. [AmbiePam]
Robin Williams is my all time favorite along with JIm Carey. robin's movies were all my favorites as he has such a way with comedy and comedic timing. He is just great as is Jim Carey too.I also like the'oild charley Chaplin movies too. [Hatley]
I have a whole bunch of favorites...many are the classic old timers, like Red Skelton, Milton Berle, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway and Harvey Korman which were a hysterical duo, Robin Williams, and who can forget...George Carlin who only recently died. [pyewacket]
I always watched Red Skelton when I was kid so I would have to say he was also a favorite of mine. I think David Letterman is hilarious especially when he has Jack Hanna on his show. Don Knotts was a favorite of mine too. [lucy02]
I'll agree that Chris Rock is pretty good, but I've only ever seen him in movies. Those comedians that resort to expletives are really setting a bad example for the next generation, and even Billy Connelly is the same. I can't watch him now because every second word is a swear word. [newzealtralian]
The funniest comedian that I have ever heard is a dear friend of my mother and me. His name is Aaron Wilburn. We went to church with him in Huntsville, AL when I was growing up. He left from there and went to Nashville, TN and started traveling with the Happy Goodman Family. From there he went on to write numerous songs and travel with the Bill Gaither Band. He still travels some with the Gaithers but he mostly does programs where he does his Christian comedy routine. He is absolutely hilarious!!! If you get a chance you can see him on YouTube. :) Shelia [SheliaLee]
george carlin was hillarious, as was mitch hedberg (watch some of his youtube videos, he is also sadly no longer alive) I also like dave chappelle even though some of his stuff could be deemed offensive. There's so many to list, but those are my top 3 I think. [vera5d]
Don't call me old fashioned but the funniest bald comedian was Phil Silvers! Sgt Bilko was still showing in Europe years after it stopped in the US. A friend of mine used to correspond with him in a retirement home.... heyupdiya! [umart13]
Sorry for coming in sooo... late. However, I think, Charlie Chaplin was the greatest comedian of all time. [suruchi86]
My Vote will go to Joney walker :) [human_spider]
