Do you cry when watching a movie?? well, I do, actually I am crying after watching a movie that touched me so deeply. I am trying to cure myself of this romantic disease of mine, but it seems I haven't done a good job so far. And what about you? have you ever cried watching a movie or listening to a song and so on??

responses and comments:
yes,i cried when i watched the movie "Titanic" and "The Green Mile". i cried like a baby though on "Titanic" when i seen it the first time when Jack died in Rose's arms in that cold ocean.that was so sad!and now, everytime i hear the song "My heart will go On"by Celine Dion i cry just hearing the song. that movie Titanic,is the only movie that still moved me after watching it a million times.i still cry when i watch it even today.it's just that sad to me i guess. thanks for asking. X-Angel [ANGEL114]
thanks you for asnwering..so I am not the only one who has such a fragile heart!!! he he..I hate the fact that when I am very moved I burst into tears because sometimes it creates problems when arguing with people I care..I cannot avoid tears..but this is me...I am a very sensitive person and when I am deeply feeling something I can cry!!! [maribea]
Yes I have cried many tears over movies...tv shows..comericals...ect...I cry over pretty cards.I have to much emotion or romance..In the end though it makes me who I am....smiles [RESSIE0168]
so there are two of us out there!!!! [maribea]
There are a number of movies that make me cry no matter how many times I see them. For example, at the end of Mr. Holland's Opus when they have the assembly to honor him and play his symphony for the first time. I cry every single time, and I don't bother trying to hid my tears. The movie touches me for 2 reasons. 1, I have known sign language since high school -- I had several friends who were deaf, and even babysat for a family in which every single member was deaf. 2, the teacher in school who touched me the most, who had the greatest impact on me and taught me so much about life and myself, in addition to the class that he was teaching was a music teacher. He was one of my best friends in school, he knew when something was bothering me and was the only person who could coax it out of me. The title character in that movie could have been based on that teacher. [wiccania]
oh I cry over a movie even though it is not the first time I am watching it if it has a special meaning for me...it is exactly how you described..it is the interaction between images, or music or events and my life that create a sort of emotional bridge... [maribea]
I have cried while watching movies! Usually, it happens when a loved one loses their love (usually when the person dies). The two movies that come to mind right now are: 1) A Walk to Remember with Mandy Moore 2) Selena with Jennifer Lopez I also cry when I see people getting married and I see the people in the movie getting teary-eyed: The only movie that is coming to mind is one that I just recently watched: In Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz. [jessicalynmartin]
well I have just cried over an Italian movie called NOTTE PRIMA DEGLI ESAMI, that is Night before exams...I cannot explain why, but tears reached my eyes..I suppose it was because I remembered when studying for my highschool examination like the guys in the movie. It was a bad period of my life, one of the saddest...maybe I cried because of the pain we, as a family, experienced and because time passed by and now these memories are far away...it is strange how images can move us... [maribea]
I'm not a very big on crying, weird because I'm quite sensitive. Anyway, I did bawl my eyes out during Brokedown Palace. That movie was so sad! It's about two girls that go to Thailand and get framed with drugs and get sentenced. I actually think it may be one of my favorite movies, just because it made me so emotional. Very good movie. The only time I've cried with music is the first time I listened to Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. Though I love music and it's one of the things I breath in and out daily, it inspires me and moves my mind to write. But it rarely makes me cry. That Buckley song is truly so powerful. [MelodyRhapsodical]
oh I use music to relax and to concentrate when writing, too..there is a particular song I like listening to when I am writing my diary..music can be so powerful..you are right!!! [maribea]
I call it Kleenex Box ratings. I always ask my friends to give me Kleenex Box rating first. If rating is 9 or 10, I don't watch it, because I know that I am going to cry... [polachicago]
sure, one for you, one for me....:))) [polachicago]
I used to be this tough chick who cried at nothing, but I can cry. It's not often a movie actually makes me cry but once in a while...and it's not hysterically balling or anything.. just a little choked up. The song "Good Ridance (time of your life)" by Green Day always chokes me up too. So does "Can you feel the love tonight" by Elton John/Lion King. [raychill]
oh I love Elton John and there is one of his song that has a special meaning for me..it is YOUR SONG...it is famous I know but it is linked to a particular period of my life..i needed a lot before i could listen to this song again ....wonderful singer he is...I went and listened to a concert he gave here in Rome..it was under a wonderful summer sky ..at night...in front of the Colosseum...oh it was so magic!!!! [maribea]
Yes ofcourse, when the emotions run high, all you get is the tears from your eyes, nobody can stop them and especially when someone you love the most departs or go away from you and you watch a love or a romantic movie, more tears floods from your eyes and if i here a heart touching song i definitely cry, anyways nice post buddy to express what we actually feel in our heart. [chaingang4u]
I always cried when the movie touched me... [Chelseachan]
eh we soft hearted ones are so in danger of washing the floor with our tears!!!! he he [maribea]
I'm not huge on elton john... but I love the Lion King. The two don't really go together..but.. that's sweet. Elton John is a good artist. Definitely and that's cool you got to see him. Most definitely. [raychill]
There is nothing wrong with showing emotion. It means your life is well rounded so the psychiatrists I used to work with told me. I am just like you I can cry buckets when someone is passing away in a movie or such. Its because we are human and relate with the heart. So relax you have others to join you so pass a tissue around. [maries1952]
i think we need to use one of the kleenex box pola was talking about..it seems that we are very numerous!!! [maribea]
I remember crying in "Hope Floats" when the character played by Sandra Bullock had her mom die. The whole soundstrack of that song could almost make you tear up, but that scene and when she went to her mom's closet and smelled the scent of her mom, well, my tears were flowing. I also cried in "Bed of Roses" because I idtentified with the female character and how she acted and was affected. [AmbiePam]
oh my mother is such a special person that I cannot even think of parting from her...brrr no not now..so cannot imagine how I could cry seeing this scene you are talking about!!!! [maribea]
thats not a disease dats a boon. not every one has a gift to understand the other person's feeling. u shd'nt try to supress it rather find a path to improve it so that u can help ppl around u.. ya even i am of the same category of ur's but i am very happy for it. [mvedavyas]
oh this is a good point of view..of course being sensitive is a virtue...I do agree with you [maribea]
I cry watching commercials. :) Seriously, it doesn't take much. Happy, sad, gory, funny....you name it, I've probably cried watching or reading it. Or, even songs sometimes, but not as much as the visual stuff. What movie were you watching that was so touching? [dfn12968]
I cry over a good movie all the time. I can't listen to some country songs cause they will send me into tears. My husband will cry over a good movie too. No cure for this it is our hearts that are so tender. [bwrattybaby]
i always do. i cannot forget the time i watched PAY IT FORWARD it touch me so deeply i cried the whole time. i even ashamed of going out of the theater bec. my eyes were all puffed out from crying. i guess some are sensitive to these things. actually even in the movie mulan i cried when the emperor honored mulan [sharonercastillo]
As we all humen being and immotions are...! ,if there is something like that it make me cry and others too then its certainly ofcourse ....so a normal phenomenon. by *crying *.....my dear respected doctor maribae as you all ready known we all humen realeses the bed energy from it... thanks.. its a nice posting and above all its your posting too. [drsanjeeva]
nice as always you are. sometimes crying is a good thing, yes...and I am easily moved by touching movies [maribea]
I didn't cry, but at the end of Titanic you reflect back and think about all those souls who were lost due to neglegence. Not enough boats so 1,500 had to die. Makes me get teary eyed. [pilot_tofly]
yes,i do while watching warm touchy movies, i just let my tears fell.to name a few are an affair to remember, casablanca and what dreams may come. it feels good to cry because it makes my heart lighter and somehow getting in touch with my more human side. [tigerdragon]
This is lovely. You seem to really feel cinema. As an audiovisual profesional myself, it is hard for me to enter any movie, to feel it in my skin. I find myself analything how is it done and what does it mean, and what impact could it have on the audience, and I enjoy it this way, but I can't really get to the extent of crying for a movie, which is very sad for me. So never think at "cure yourself" from this!!! [missak]
Yes, I do cry watching movies that touch my heart. Huhuhu. If only is one of the movie that made me cry. And believe it or not, there's a tear in my eye while watching spiderman 3 (I am glad it didnt pour out) I cried on the scene where Harry is dying. :-( I dont know. I am so emotional person too, I cried hard when I am listening to a song especially when I am broken hearted or I misses my husband. I do cry also in simple tv show, the drama one. I am so cry baby! Good day friend! [Mherledy]
actually I didn't like Spiderman 3 very much, but of course the scene you mentioned was very touching...songs and tears??? oh of course I am with you... [maribea]
actually yes ,i cried when i see romantic movies, these romantic scenes makes our heart soft and we cried, but one thing more this is the movie ,this is not the reality,so don't serious about that movies, because these movies effects on our daily life ,don't think about that after see the movie [rakesh30111986]
yes,m i have cried...... when i was watching bollywood movie rishtey..... in that movie when its running race and a handicaped boy tried hard to win,,, with touching expresions ,emotion... at that moment i feel to cry...... and in kalhonaho ......at ending when srk was dying and feeling pain ..... i really get cried... actuly ,i am a bit emotionel person..... [kkittu]
"Boys don't cry" so I don't cry watching movies but sometimes I can feel tears in my eyes, I take watching movies too seriously and I like to lose myself in the film I'm watching and sometimes it's hard not to get effected emotionally. [freesoul]
Hi, maribea, when I was young I used to cry. Now I do not cry since I am grown up. [navtech]
Yes i have cried many times watching some sad movies!!!I guess we cry during the movie because we get into the characters playing that movie and we think that in actually we are the ones.i think there is nothing wrong in crying during the movies.I have even cried while listening to a song but there is only one song that can make me cry. Moreover i have even cried while Reading some book to name it was Tuesday's with Morrie by Mitch Albion it was very moving.I think by now you must have got an image of me as a crying person but i am not that type.hehe [Manjyot]
You know about my passion of collecting movies right?I watch many of them while I'm working just for the time pass more easy.I don't like much TV and all those commercials so I prefer watch movies from my collection than TV.Anytime I find a romantic or a film with many emotions I cry. It's not the best thing you cry and work ,but I do.Many times my son come down to see me and find me crying, after I explain to him now he knows the reason. The most of the time I fell good after these. The crying many times help you out your emotions and after I fell really good.Does these happen to you? [aidonia]
oh yes my friend..I am with you...sometimes crying is a good thing..it is a way to express our emotions..and I do think it is a sign we really enjoyed the movie and that they did a great work because they were able to touch us. of course let's hope to cry on a good romantic movie and not because we were scared by a horror movie..he he [maribea]
yes i cried specially when it touches my heart so deep like the movie WITH HONORS. not only in romantic movie all so in a comedy when i laugh so hard for there jokes or gag... [pangzy21]
Until now i haven't cry aftrr i see a movie but i think it's because i don't like to see sad movies. But i heard that lot of my female friend cry after they watch titanic [akunz81]
Sometimes i do but not very often,i'm also a kind of sensitive. [sanorita2105]
i have! several times and i never miss to wipe them off pretending im not affected by the scene./ haha [chiyosan]
i do cry when i watch emotional movies...I always cry when i watch Shah Rukh Khan's movies kal ho naa ho...Its very emotional.... [paradise12]
I usually cry when watching a movie as well, but I don't want to cure myself of this. I think it is cool, when I cry I feel that I'm alive and I still have a heart. [soleya]
yeah, i do cry when i watched movies but i usually stop myself from crying... i dont like it when people see me crying over a movie. cheers! [makaira]
Yes - yes i did - watching a Korean Romance called "My Sassy Girl". I cried like a little girl! Thank god i was alone! [buzzmonster]
I seem to have the same disease as you. We cry when when we are in some kind of emotional turmoil and the words of a song seem to bring out the intensity of what we are feeling. Really good movies that we can relate to can bring us back the pain we have felt in a similar situation. Even movies that make us love a main character and then watch him or her suffer tremendously. When I see abuse, prejudice and injustice in a movie it makes me angry too. I think we cry harder than some because we know that somewhere in the world these things are really happening to real people and we wish we could save them all. grande abbraci ;) [wrdsofwisdm]
I do! OMG! Ever since I was pregnant with my first kid, anything heart warming/touching can trigger my tears! I can't stand it. Even if I don't want to, I can't help it. I cried watching "I Am Sam" recently. The night I gave birth to my son, there was "Meet joe Black" playing and I was bawling watching that too. I thought it was just a phase i was going through. But noooo... it has lasted until now. I teared up watching "300". Songs are like that too.. I tear up listening to James Morrison's "Pieces Don't Fit". That's why I rather watch movies at home alone. :) [shemah]
well i think its silly to cry...ioys just a reel life story n not a real life......being emotional @ dis is different thing but crying shows dat how weak u r.....i think u shud b strong enough n shud keep ur emotions in control [punkish]
Oh, of course. Doesn't everyone? There is nothing wrong with crying at a touching movie or song. It just shows you're human, with human emotions. I know it can be embarrassing, but usually in a movie, if it's touching you it is touching others as well. [karenssis]
Yes I cry almost over every sad movie. When it is the time of the month I cry over craxy stuff like for example it could be something happy and i cry about it.LOL.I guess some people maybe are more sensitive than others .I dont cry much over songs though. But if I am sad I might. [Carrie26]
Sorry .I meant crazy stuff not craxy stuff.LOL [Carrie26]
Yes I do feel lik crying but I'm embarrassed to do so in front of anyone. So if out to a movie with friends if there comes an emotional moment I try and control myself. But if alone, sea water is going to get a litle saltier! [raptor47]
i didn't ever cry watching a movie before i saw the movie,"Bagwan" ,a hindi movie. Although some hindi movies are very emotional, but none of them was as emotional as this.It really touched the core of my heart and made me cry although i tried to resist it a lot. [meatiitr]
Hi maribea, Oh yes, I am a hopeless romantic :) Movies make me cry, songs, stories, anything that touches your heart. I'm not doing so good at curing it either, but what's wrong with having a tender heart? I like you just how you are:) [Heavensent53]
were you a man, I would marry you...this is what I am looking for..like you just the way you are...so romantic, so true, so wonderful!!!! [maribea]
I used to alot in my younger days but not so much anymore. I guess it is because I lived in most of those things they show in movies and it isn't that new anymore. [Lydia1901]
well sometimes it happens to me, too..but it may also happen that seeing on the screen something I lived moves me very much [maribea]
i am very emotional so movies tend to make me cry easily. [missportmore83]
Yes, I am like that too. And I can't control it, when I cried I feel a little bit okey then. so maybe it's a good exercise too i think. [butterfly39]
well, I do. I often cry for someone in a movie. I am a sensitive girl. But I often hold on my tears in front of others, it is too crowadly to cry in front of others. Are you a girl, too? I think most of men don't cry while watching a movie. Where are you from? Why do you come here? for money or other things? I hope I can earn some money here. I don't like to work in real life. [wonderful1]
hi there my friend, well yeah the movie that made me cried was titanic and romeo and juliet and it really touch my heart and ive learned alot of leasson into that movie. happy posting [shane1987]
The first time I cried watching a movie was when I saw an Indian movie entitled 'teardrops'. These days tears come to my eyes so easily that I can hardly recall all the movies that made me cry. I have probably softened with age. (lol). 'Titanic' and 'Green Mile' did make me cry too. [ojassa]
I love watching movies in almost all type of genre including heavily dramatic ones. And there are some movies I could not help but shed some tears from time to time. Usually those were the moments that touched a certain chord in your life. It may sounds a little bit corny, but I don't mind shedding a tear or two watching movies. [tombiz]
There are certain movies that made me cried. Silly but I'm hook by the stories. There's one movie that really touches me Life as a House. (,") [vonn1378]
A lot of times. The latest was when i watched The Notebook. It really made me cry.I don't hide it when I cry while watching because you would have a heavy heart if not.My husband would really laugh at me while I'm crying coz he said I was affected with the story.LOL [fly_shay]
I have never seen the movie but is it the one about a famous novel by Nicholas Spark?? If this is the case, this is surely a touching movie|||| [maribea]
yes, a lot of times....like you, when the movie had touched me a lot, then i cry watching...my siblings always laugh at me when they saw me crying while watching a movie, but i can't help it...the tears just fall [baby83]
I don't cry really.when I watch some moving movies, there are always tears in my eyes.My heart is really touched deeply. [kellyalex]
