I have plenty of times, I will tell myself, that I am going to stay awake and not go to sleep, but sooner or later, I will drift off to sleep, and miss the movie.. And sometimes this movie, does not come back on right away..

This dosn't happen to me often, but it does seem to happen to my husband a lot. LOL He fell asleep on his computer keyboard, once. [danishcanadian]
I never fall asleep with the tv on, although I know that a lot of people do. I rarely watch it and when I do it's something I'm very interested in. [dragon54u]
I remember being so excited about Men in Black coming out. We got tickets to see it, but they were for the late show. (It started at around 9:30 PM) I saw the opening credits and I don't remember another thing about it. I slept on my husband's shoulder through the whole thing. He says I didn't miss anything. LOL [Essie119]
I fell asleep in the theatre during the first Harry Ptter movie and I fell asleep at hoem when the Goblet of Fire was on. I slways thought HP was good, but I gues it does have some slow parts. [snowy22315]
Hello my friend cream97 Ji, As far as I recollect, many yrs back I watched , GONE WITH THE WIND' it was of 4 hrs duration and was a lovely admirable movie , first time, I went for a nap, so I saw it again. I can never afford to keep my eyes glued to any screen after 10 PM. have a nice time. [chintoo07]
Yes I have done this a number of times. Sometimes I really fight trying to fall asleep and I will go in and out of dozing throughout the whole movie. I try not to lay down while viewing a movie because this will just make me fall asleep faster. Also if I have just eaten and lay down to watch a movie ... bingo! ... I am asleep. I try to sit up straight in a chair and this position will keep me focused on the movie. It's annoying to fall asleep just before the ending ... then I have to wait until it comes on again or I just rent it if I really want to know what happened. [barbiedollgirl]
Oh, all the time! And it is so annoying! My husband always wants to start movies too late and I tell him I would rather wait so I can watch the whole thing. Then, I end up falling asleep and having to watch it the next night anyways. Maybe I should start watching movies during the day! [emma412]
I have only fallen asleep while watching a movie I wanted to see a couple times I can remember, and it has only happened when I have been up for like twenty four hours straight,my dad on the other hand has no problem sleeping through movies, and I can remember countless times that he has fallen asleep while watching a movie at the movie theater. [hellcowboy]
Sounds like you need to spend some time looking through the Action/Adventure section at your favorite video store. One movie that always puts me to sleep is Fantasia, I have never seen it all the way through, classical music to me is a snoozer. [gitfiddleplayer]
yeah, during the first narnia movie. i was on my flight to la at the time, i don't usually fall asleep in a plane, or anywhere but my bed so i was really waiting for that movie since i loved it. i drifted off after, like 10 minutes since the movie started and then woke up when they were being crowned kings and queens [allamgirl]
This very rarely happens to me. My husband on the other hand falls asleep every time. LOL. he can fall asleep anywhere and at anytime. lol. he is also a sound sleeper. [shymurl]
Yes, and the movie was Children of Men. I just couldnt get into it and gradually drifted to sleep. [tehmunkee]
Yes many a times and i just hate myself for this, then i have to ask my mom that what happned after that? and mym say why dont you watch again.. Then i have to get the dvd and complete before the night, so that i dont sleep again. Now i prefer to sit not laydown while watching a movie. lol enjoy :) [yogeshdhusa]
I have that experience too especially when I am very tired and do lots of work during the day. No matter how much I tried to control, I can't escape from being sleepy...LOL! [checapricorn]
Yes many times. I am an avid fan of Agatha Christie and his fictional detective Hercule Poirot. David Suchet is one actor in the history of the movies who has lived the character completely. It is a treat to watch the movies. But I tend to doze off at the critical final moments of the Hercule trying to unwound the knots of the crime to everyone sitting in an old English country house always. I just wake up to find the most unsuspected person as the perpetrator. It is fun. But Next day I always watch the climax again. [balasri]
Yeap.. it happened to me some times.. and then it's hard to get back from where we start.. And when the movie is really awesome it's really sad to lose such great content :) but next day or as soon as i wake up or have time.. i'll watch the rest. [ptscam]
all the time.but if i'm that tired,i'll fall asleep anyway.my eyes will close on me. what i really hate is waking up right before the end and then having no clue what happened, cause i missed the middle partlol [scarlet_woman]
i sometimes fall a sleep and never know the story of the movie, i have to start again to movie so that i may know the end of it [patzel88]
Happens to me all the time, in my office, we work in shifts, 6am-2pm is the best for watching movies. After duty, friends would go out shop a little, eat a little then watch a movie that we like. After about 20 mins, I'm out. But I usually wake up during the credits, had to, because they would leave without me. [gamgee]
Never!! I din't fall asleep any time I liked to watch a movie.Normally I wash my face clean with water then sit to watcha a movie or TV show.So I won,t miss my favourite movie. [khalique]
Yes this has happened many times to me also and I hate this. I never want to miss an interesting movie because of falling asleep. I get very irritated on myself for not remaining awake till the completion of movie. To avoid this to happen again,I sometime try to evade sleep by taking tea or coffee or just stroll outside for few minutes or wash my face with cold water. These tactics work sometimes but fail also sometimes. [suruchi86]
I have a really bad time with this. My body thinks that once it is eight in the evening that I should go to sleep. So we will be watching TV and I tell myself that I really want to see it and to stay awake. But I fall to sleep anyway. I had to watch The Lord of the Rings four times before I saw the whole thing because I kept falling to sleep. [1grnthmb]
woo, what a pity!why not see it on internet,or buy DVD?Then you will never be confused about that kind of things. [jorkin]
Yes, cream97, I have certainly fallen asleep during a movie. I tend to nod off in a movie theater, I guess because it's so dark in there! Particularly if I've done alot of running around or other strenuous activity on the day I go to the movie, I find myself wanting to take a little nap during the film. Which isn't that easy, if you consider how loud they keep the volume in the movie theater. Well, take care and try to stay awake. PearlGrace [PearlGrace]
Been there , done that so many times I have lost count. Most of the time the movie comes back in a few months . Or I have gotten lucky and it was to re air the next week. These days I have HBO's and Showtime's email addresses so if I miss a film, I just request it. [sarahruthbeth22]
Yeah, it's happened. Just last week I had tried to stay up to catch a movie and I started dozing. I did everything I could to stay awake to see at least half of it. And of course the movies thar rarely come on, only do when your exhausted, lol. I waited a long time for a movie to come back on once. And I think I ended up buying it instead. [Xdrowninghavocx]
My! Never! But I sleep during sermons and when there is Bible reading at home I pass out! Ssh ...Don't tell anyone.. [daffodil1949]
Yes I have fallen asleep it is usually when it is a really good movie too! [patriciaqualls]
That has happened to me several times and I hate it especially when I go to the movie theatre. I am wide awake and then all of a sudden my eyes feel heavy and i cannot keeo them open. And i realize what a waste of time and money it was that I didn't even see the movie in full, all I remmber is bits and pieces. And its funny too because it bothers me when someone says they want to watch a movie with me and they fall asleep. [risris24]
Yes absolutely! I have insomnia so I don;t get enuf sleep anbd consequently I fall asleep at the most inoportune moments. If it's a movie I am not a fanatic about, I don't care. But if ita movie I actually go to the theatre to see, it drives me crazy. The last suc movie is The Departed. It has several parallel plots so you must pay attention to understand the ending. I habe attempted to see it three times. Once at the theatre; twice at home on HBO. Still need to see it again to see it all the way thru. Oh, and nodding off in the threatre runs the risks of snoring. It is a very uncomfortable feeling to wake up in a movie house not knowing if you snored. [msmargo]
if have plenty of times for waiting the movie i wanted to watch,i just surf the net or log on in mylot to kill the time and then the time is even more faster than what we expected. [bombshell]
Yes and sometimes I don't get a chance to go back and watch it before it gets returned to the video store so I try my hardest to stay up. Last night I kept falling asleep on the zodiac but I don't think I really want to go back and watch it even though its on our DVR right now. [mflower2053]
I fall asleep all the time during movies. Its a thing with me I get so comfy that I just pass out. Thankfully at a theater I cant get that comfy so I dont fall asleep there. [minnie_98214]
never did in a movie theater but in dvd many times i fall asleep while the movie showing is going on, i am not pron to watching television so no experience yet. show from television if you missed it will not come back anymore unless you own the television network. LOL [julyteen]
lolOnce, when i accompanied my eldest to the spiderman movie..I love to watch it too..but I was so tired from work that day and didn't really noticed that I have fallen asleep..lolGood thing i didn't snore or else my son would be really mad at me for disturbing his concentrationlol [eihdra]
I havent done that for a movie Im really interested with.. But I fell asleep in a movie house for watching a drama movie. My scholarship benefactor treated us to that movie.. When I woke up, the names of casts were being shown.. I didnt know the ending of the movie... [purplehyacinth]
