Anyway, have you seen the movie? What do you think about it? I am surprised that there was no reaction from the chinese people on the fact that it was Jet Li who was the bad emperor here. I made this comment because I remember that there was a certain movie where the chinese people reacted that Chow Yun Fat was the bad guy. Upon seeing this part of the mummy movie, it was just this thought that immediately came out of my mind.

No, I haven't but plan to buy a DVD tomorrow and see it with my family. As all us are very busy going to the movie hall would not be possible. So we are going to watch it on our television tomorrow night. By the way how was the movie. Did it match up to its expectations? [Rintis]
As far as I am concerned, I like the previous two better. They change the character of wife which is one of the reasons why I didnt like better. But the whole concept of mummy thing is all in all okay. The effects are fine. Just watch it. Its good that you are watching it with your family. [bestre]

I have not seen it yet. I will rent it when it comes out on netflix I can't afford to go to the theater. I don't like that they changed the wife the actress that played her in the first two was really good. I do like Brendan Fraiser though so I will have to watch the movie of course. [luvstochat]

I haven't seen the movie yet but I have a child that loves the Mummy movies. I'm sure that he will be wanting it as soon as it comes out on DVD lol. Hasn't Jet Li played a bad guy before this movie? He isn't one of my favorite stars so I haven't seen all of his movies (I like the older actors, my favorite is Morgan Freeman). Yes, I've watched the latest movie series of Mummy, part 3. Honestly, I didn't like it that much. It was alright but did not live up to its part from the first series. I liked the first Mummy movies better. This one seemed just regular. [MariaD]

Yeah I saw The Mummy : Tomb of The Dragon Emperor 2 weekends ago. It was good. I think I'd rate it 7 out of 10. I haven't really seen the 2 previous Mummy installments but I can tell those did better than this recent one. I think Jet Li was great in it. I didn't know they made such a big deal about Chow Yun Fat being the bad guy in that movie you mentioned. Weird huh. [joliefille]

Before it was shown in our country, I really wanted to watch the movie in the big screen. I was expecting something more and exciting. I ended up not that satisfied. I didn't see it because watching it would just make me miss Imhotep. I like Jet Li but I couldn't grasp around the fact that he was the mummy/bad guy. Plus wasn't Evee replaced by another actress? I didn't like that at all. I think Chow Yun Fat is very respected in China. Jet Li is respected too but he's accepted by the American scene. For Cow Yun Fat, he wasn't well known and China was worried about him being introduced as a bad guy to the public. That's my speculation. [emskoneko]

I have seen it.I was more concerned on the part of Evelyn O'Connell interpreted by Maria Bello in Mummy 3 rather than Rachel Weisz that interpreted the part of Evelyn O'Connell.Rachel Weisz interpreted better the part then Maria Bello, I think. Jet Li had a busy year this year it seems cause he also took part in The Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan which was the good guy in this movie! [swtlady]

Yes, and even though Jet Li is showing his age now, he still kicks butt. I thought that the film was pretty good. Well, Jet Li was a bad emperor, but did you see the leading female Chinese actress and the actress who played her daughter? They were doing a wonderful job and they were slightly realistic. MAybe they are not a fan of CHow yun fatt and thus the contradiction.. lol =D I have watched the mummy 3, and i found it totally different from the 1st 2 sequel.. It has drifted away quite alot, and most of the time, Jet li's face is hidden behind the sand or changing into a monster.. I guess the main focus is on bryden only, and not the rest, the rest are just supporting cast to make him stand out.. lol I will still prefer 1 and 2, then 3.. [kun2349]

i think the chinese people didn't mind since it's fictitious, the story is not that close from the true story i think. I love all episodes of the mummy, but i still liked the mummy 2 because there are more actions and places to see, and of course, the favorite of all, Rachel Weisz (spelled correctly?) [marisriel]

I don't mind it but the first two series are way better in my opinion. I think it's because Weisz is replaced by another actress and Alex seemed like he didn't belong there or something. But Brendan and John Hannah are still funny. Jet Li and the actress that played the witch, I like them too. if you remember, the witch was played by the same actress that was in Memoir of Geisha. can't remember her name there. [LittleMel]
Sorry to disappoint you, but I think the movie is not good at all. they replace Rachel Weisz with somebody else, which i think rachel already done a very great acting on mummy2, but mummy3, who the hell is she? kinda surprised me well finding out that the cast's changed. luckily there's Jet Li, which make the movie a bit better, but still they are forcing and at the same time destroying the story of the history of terracota army.
