Do you buy the all time favorite... popcorn and soda... or do you prefer the less conventional type of food while watching movies... some people prefer candy, crackers, potato chips, or they even bring their own pizza inside the movie house...
In my case... every time i go to the movies... which is always during lunch time... i always buy MacDonald's cheeseburger, large french fries, and a large coke... sometimes i instead of the cheeseburger... i buy chicken nuggets... that that will be considered as my lunch already...

I'm on a diet. So I pop my OWN popcorn so it doesn't have that buttered stuff. Then I buy a large diet soda and enjoy the movie! When you pop your own popcorn it doesn't have that butter stuff that has all the calories and stuff in it that really can mess with your diet. I can have like six cups of popcorn for a snack and it is fine on my diet -- that is a LOT of popcorn! lol :) [espressochick]

it's either food from KFC or McDo but most often KFC since it's beside the movie house we go to. but i end up finishing the food during the trailers and before the movie even starts!lol [chivolaski]

Mmm, a burger sounds good but we don't eat while watching the movies. Because the theatre smells so good and others will be enjoying tasty snacks we do make a point to eat before we go, however. Actually, though, we do not go to the movies often, since where we live the cable TV is provided and there are thousands of free movies that we have never seen yet. It is unlikely that we will run out, and as for the new ones--they will eventually end up there anyway. [drannhh]

I like the hotdogs in our local movie, they're great and cheap. I also like their nachos, with the cheese sauce and jalapeno chilly. They don't allow us to bring outside food inside the movie so we to buy them in the movie's food stall. They also have a nice chocolate bread which they heat in a microwave before serving. Both my son and me, we like to munch something or the other at the movies. So sometimes it's the bag of flavoured popcorns (ummmmmmm cheese), or soda or some fruit drink, sometimes it can be a chicken patty or at some places it's the excellent pack of finger chips they fry and sell. To me, movies should include that "dangerous" butter popcorn (cholesterol-wise) and a soda. It's the whole "experience" (modest an experience as it may be). I figure, if you're not going to get that butter popcorn you may as well just rent a DVD. :) I really hate it when I go to a movie with someone who doesn't want to bother with the popcorn. Movie theaters here wont let you bring food or drinks in, which stinks cause the candy, popcorn, and drinks are so expensive at the theater! What we ususally do, is I carry my big purse and we stop at Wal-Mart and buy bags of candy and 20 oz sodas and bring them in the theather :) [amyandrob501]

When I go at the movies, I rarely bring food at the theater because I prefer chocolate bars and bottles of soda pop. When i am trying to open the wrap during the movie, it just makes to much noise which is a bother to other people...the same goes with the soda pop. I don't think it's allowed to bring outside food to the theater here. People are only allowed to bring food that's bought from the theater's food corner. I usually buy a bucket of pop corn with extra butter, an iced blenccino (kind of like cappucino + chocolate and whip cream). I also like to buy some nachos with extra cheese sauce. [yona06]

aseretdd_ I had to check your profile, but I was certain you didn't live in America. I don't think you could get away with bringing all that food into a movie theatre. The movie theatre insists a person can only buy and eat the food served at the theatre and we're not allowed to bring in our own food. Now, it is possible to smuggle it in_ I don't go to the movies that often because it's so expensive! If I do go, sometimes I pull out all the stops. The last few times I went to the movies I carried a really big purse and was able to that way sneak a bottle of pepsi for me and Ashley and a bag of m&m's each. That way since the prices are so outrageous for snacks there I didn't have to buy anything there. [valerie37]

I always get popcorn and soda =) Most of the time the theaters here will refill a large popcorn and drink once for free too. As far as bringing other food in, we aren't allowed to here! I'm not sure how you or others swing it. I walked in there once with a Starbucks COFFEE and the manager came over and tried to say I couldn't bring it. I calmly explained that I was headed straight for the concession line to buy food, so it wasn't as if my coffee was going to cost them the price of a snack. They let me in with the coffee. However, I also will sometimes bring chocolate in my purse or other candy that'll fit under things so nobody knows it's there. I love eating while watching movies too. [mommyboo]

i seldom go to the movies, because the charge of the ticket is so high. if you use the credit card, the charge will be cheaper. sometimes i go to the movies with my friend and buy a bucket of the popcorn and coke or some icecream in the theater. most of the theater forbid you bring yourself food. i think that going to the movies is just an excuse and you can use this excuse to communicate with each other and prompt your relationship. I always take my own food because movie food is an absolute RIP off! I can't believe how expensive it is. A bucket of popcorn, cup of coke and a bag of lollies can easily be $20! I usually go to the supermarket and buy a bag of chips or biscuits and a drink. It annoys me when people make so much noise with chip bags though. It's so irritating! [coffeeshot]

hello aseretdd i will be right over to see a movie with ya. i have never heard of anybody taking pizza or a hamburger or french fries inside of a movie theatre like that before. and i enjoy eating something as well while i am at the movies and i like a small bag of buttered popcorn and a candy bar or some kind of candy and a drink while i am watching a movie at the movie theatre like that. and at home, when i am watching a movie it is the complete opposite for me, i usually will not eat anything while watching a movie at home. lol isn't that funny? sometimes, once in a blue moon, i will pop me some microwave kettle corn and eat that while i am watching my movie. our movie theatre here at the mall offers popcorn, candy, nachos, and drinks. maybe some pretzels and hot dogs. but i do not think that they serve hamburgers. i will have to check out their menu the next time that i get to go see a movie at the movie theatre. have a beautiful evening. Most movie theatre's here you can't take your own food in but you can buy anything from candy and popcorn to popcorn shrimp and frozen coffee's. I normally like popcorn, a soda and a candy. Sometimes we eat before we go because just the food can cost $20. Instead of a popcorn sometimes I get nacho's and cheese. It just depends on what I am in the mood for. I used to have lunch at a moviehouse also hahaha. This was way back when we just wanted to rush into a movie because at noon time there aren't a lot of people yet. We don't want to be standing watching half of the movie especially if it's a blockbuster. We've experienced this a lot of times with Harry Potter and LOTR trilogy. But nowadays I make sure I had my lunch already before going in. I just buy the bottled water. There is a form of puffed rice we get in India, that is mixed with roasted groundnuts and fried tiny bits of pulses. This is called 'Bhel'. It can be eaten dry like this or be made more interesting by adding finely chopped onion and a sweet-and-sour sauce, and topped off with coriander leaves. I enjoy watching movies and eating junk food at the same time *laughs* Since there is a strict regulation that you can only buy and bring food that you buy from the cinema food operator, I always bring in popcorn (light and sweet) and a big size Coke. Normally I finished up the snack before the movie even started *laughs* I love to watch trailers and make it a point to enter once they allow us to enter the theater hall, and sit and talk and eat...before the movie starts...
