everyone has a movie that makes them cry. i just watched the anne of green gables and cried buckets during the movie. it doesnt help that i am sick either...
is anne of green gables, the continuing story (made in 2000) anne shirley and gilbert blythe finally get married during the early days of world war 1 and being a doctor, gilbert decides to enlist to serve for his country (canada!) and goes off to france.
anne stays at green gables and gets all the letters that she has written to gilbert returned to her. she decides to go to europe amidst the fighting and search for her husband.
i cried when anne finally spots gilbert after he has been a pow during the final days of ww1 (they are in germany, where she is gone hunting for him). (it is a must see!)
another is the stepmother with julia roberts in it. what movie do you cry at?

Any movie where a title character either human or animal dies makes me very upset. I think there are many movies that are good and are capable of producing tears on my part. I guess watching movies is a universal experience to be enjoyed and we can all get caught up and swept up in what we are watching. [snowy22315]
The one I am always crying at is Terms of Endearment, and Love Story. Then there are the ones with the kids dying. I am a sucker at crying at movies where the baby dies, yes I did cry when I watched Penny Serenade on TCM. That was one of the first tear jerkers. It is about a couple, Roger and Julie Adams coming back from Japan. She is pregnant, but miscarries and cannot have any more children. They want a boy but there is none available and adopt a girl instead. Times are hard, and there is the threat of they may have to give the girl up, because the father lost his job, but they are approved, and then the little girl dies, Roger played by Cary Grant is just about to leave because he is heartbroken, when the adoption agency calls and says they have a little boy who wants a home. It was so sad when the little girl died because it was in winter and it was after a Christmas concert. [suspenseful]
I am totally a movie freak and I think I watch most of the movies that are out in the year. The movies that made my cry are like "The notebook", "The message in a bottle" and recently it's "7 pounds". Among these movies I watch "The notebook" over and over again. I simply love watching that movies. These are all the movies which have made me cry so far. [diillu]
Hi Cher, There are many that make me cry but one I always cry to is The Green Mile, another is The Notebook and I also cry when Michael loses his feathers in Michael as it is his last visit to Earth, I cry at the end of Armeggeddon. In fact there are not a lot I don't cry to LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D [ellie333]
Our house is definately divided by gender. My son and husband are always amazed that my daughter and I cry at films. I had forgotten that Love Story makes be cry before reading the responses - I agree wholeheartedly there. Unfortunately, I am having difficulty remembering the name of the film I want to tell you about. Oh, I remember, The Little Princess. It seems so much sadder to me that the girl goes from riches to rags. The neighbour is in a wheelchair and has lost his son. Of course, everything turns out well in the end but even that makes me cry as I know that in real life it does not always end that way. [magicalmerlin]
I have those movies too. There are those ones that I can watch over and over and they make me cry every time. One that is always guaranteed to get me is "The Notebook." The ending of that one always gets my tears rolling. Stepmother is a good one too. There are a lot of Julia Robert's movies that are sad. Steel Magnolias is super sad. Sally Fields was awesome in that movie. [emma412]
The movie that always makes me tear up is A Walk To Remember. To see the two teens that are from completely different worlds come together and find love only for Jamie to reveal that she is sick with cancer...It is just so heartbreaking. I was not prepared for it, but it didn't help when I went to read the book. I think I cried even more at the book. Beautiful story. cry [HansonFan]
So many movies make me cry - though i'd never admit it to anyone who knows me!! A few are.... Green mile. Jack frost. City of angels. Bucket list. Ghost. And oh so many more. There isnt really one type that makes me cry, just anything with a story line that touches me in some way. [SeaSiderGirlUK]
All sad movies make me cry! Heck, it could even be a comedy if it has one sentimental part in it, I will most likely cry. I am a very sensitive person. But I love movies like that. Makes the movie so much better. [messageme]
I cry at almost all movies that have a slightly emotional scene. I'm a big cry-baby that way. That's why I prefer comedies.. but even those have sentimental moments and that's about all it takes for me. This is especially true since I've been a father. I cry more as a husband and father. I guess it makes life more precious somehow so these sentimental moments ring more true and more deep than when I was single and care-free. [TheCasualReporter]
castaway.. it's really sad to be literally alone.. if only.. a walk to remember.. for same reason.. one died, one left alone.. =( a moment to remember... this is a korean movie but has a subtitle.. you can watch it on youtube just look for "a moment to remember" approx. 26 episodes 2-hour movie all in all. a girl who has alzheimer's *pardon with the spelling* hahah.. who fell in love with a carpenter.. i will not be detailed about the whole story.. but do watch it.. it's good i swear..^_^ there are other movies that made me cry but i forgot the title. oh my, do i have alzheimer's already?? hehehe kidding.. [abee1020]
All sad movies always make me cry, as fas as I can remember I cried when John Coffe of Green Mile was put to electric chair, Green Mile was a sad movie and so with The Shawshank Redemption, accidentally, these two great films are written by Stephen King and directed by Frank Darabont. Green Mile starred Tom Hanks while The Shawshank Redemption topbilled by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. [jlamela]
all kinds of movies make me cry, I love a good life story, or a story where someone or an animal dies, they get me the most. [winterose]
City of Angels with Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan, I cry every time I see it. It is my all time favorite movie. [1969sheri]
i too agree with this kind movies i don't like to watch these make us misery why we are watching movies to get rid of our poroblems rather getting sad when your watching movie to have fun why don't prefer a movie which gives you fun thats reason i don't watch sad mmovies [lalithnarayan]
I cry every single time watching Armageddon. That is one movie we love to watch over & over. Hubby watches it often, of course when it comes on I'm right there with him. I don't cry at many movies but this one does it to me every time, it is such a touching movie. Hubby makes fun of me along with my 2 sons....look she's crying haha I think hubby gets choked up too but doesn't want to admit or show it, men!!!??? [MarleneDawn]
I know so many men who cry at that movie. Literally weep buckets of tears. I think especially Daddies of little girls when Bruce Willis tells Ben Affleck it's his turn to take care of his little girl. But the part that gets me is when the one guy's ex-wife brings his little boy to see him when they land. Because he didn't even know his daddy and now he gets to know him as a hero. [crimsonladybug]
I'm a crybaby when I've watched mushy movies and that really touched the hearts of everyone...I remembered crying when I've watched city of angels, a walk to remember, the notebook, titanic, passion of the christ...that's all I can remember but there are a lot of movies that made me cry.(^_^) [becdmd]
My husband (he was my boyfriend then) rented "A Walk to Remember" while we were dating and I cried so much during that movie! I also still cry buckets during "Steel Magnolias". The cast in that movie are amazing! I recently caught "P.S., I Love You" on cable the other night and I really recommend this movie. Every time I would compose myself, another scene would make me start to bawl all over again. There are so many movies out there that have made me cry, I don't think I would have enough time or space to name them all! [Dustysgal325]
The movies that made me cry: - The Notebook - A Walk To Remember - If Only - The Lion King =) - Autumn in New York - Sweet November [gracie04]
movies that make me cry is "titanic" makes me feel bad when jack is die,.. [inuceres]
Really outright cry with tears and the works... there are only a few. Dead Poets Society Mad Love The Orphanage (El Orfanto) Pan's Labyrinth RENT There are some others that always get me choked up but I don't actually get to the crying stage. Aramgeddon, Steel Magnolias, Swing Kids... others too but I can't think of any of them right now. [crimsonladybug]
some of the indian films like Mahanathi, paruthiveeran, kathal, etc are making to cry. [itsmine]
I think the one which makes me cry are some love stories with very sad ending, or some movies which can really moved to tears. It's very hard to classify which ones cause I'm sometimes sensitive about movies. [kristenffdd]
Well, drama is a kind of movies that do intend to make me cry. The movie Ghost is one of them. A typical movien that touches my heart and spirit. When movies are about children getting hurt in some way I also get touched. Movies with happy endings can also be touching the eay chanels and one or two tears will be shown. [anetteh]
I always cry at the end of "The Goodbye Girl". I guess I'm a sucker for romance! "Awakenings" is also another good one to get the tears flowing... as is "Of Mice and Men". [Tatsinda]
Ohh movie I'm not sure... But I do watch some anime series currently that make me cry a lot... I've never cried so much for a movie in my entire life as I've cried for these episodes... I'm talking about Naruto. The story is just so touching and amazing, you can't watch it without getting attached to it... As for movies... well... there were a few that made me cry... I remember "A Walk to Remember" was very sad. And hmm... I really don't remember any other that affected me that much. There were probably some that I watched once, cried, but then forgot all about it. None affected me as much as Naruto, though. [moonlight_dream]
movies with bad graphics bad story ..worst actor...and unbeliveable stunts where the strings are visible [bakul279]

There is few movies that make me cry.because i kown that they are not true.Maybe i usually didn't put my feeling on the film.My friend always say that i am a person with cool-blooded. [nzl8343]
Now a days, I usually never cry in films. Maybe that is because I am becoming immune to violence and death (through my real life experiences). The only films I remember crying to were A Walk to Remember (one of my favorites), The Notebook, and Ladder 49 (or whatever number). I remember being in the theater for the last one and trying to contain my tears. I was thinking to myself, "holy crap I am crying in public over a movie." [ulalume]
There are already countless movies that made me cry. Just recently, I watched "Windstruck",it's actually hilarious at first then in the end it made me cry. [kaitan]
Actually, the hollywoods movies has so much more to offer when it comes to emotions. But, to be quite candid, inspite of all those emotional scences-they only make me upset and little carried away. Yea...there's is a movie, i nearly pour one tears. It's 'A walk to Remember'... I just love that movie... [Mohanmojo]
Movies that made me cried are the following: If Only The Notebook Titanic Pay It Forward The Ghost A Walk To Remember If you will notice almost all are love stories except for "Pay It Forward" which is more centered on the courage and effort and sacrifice of a kid. [Yori88]
i cried when i watched the movie RENT and the 3rd high school musical movie [jiffys_frog_woman]
The most recent movie I watched that made me cry was "Marley and Me" it was funny at the beginning and middle but at the end it was very sad and I cryed. I'm not going to give anything away though. You have to watch to see for yourself but the ending was very sad. It's a movie about a dog and the dog and the man becomes attached but the dog was very bad but at the end he ended up dieing that's the sad part and they made the death really sad and omg i cryed its really sad. [ashley2009]
I cried during I am Sam. It was so touching, and Things we lost in the fire. Thats a good one too. [juveriam786]
I still cry when I watch "Ghost" even though I've seen it 100 times. Especially the scene where Sam dies, and then at the end when his ghost finally leaves. Also, I remember "Beaches" being very sad, when the friend dies and they play "Wind Beneath my Wings". I haven't seen that one in ages but it would probably still make me cry. [fluffysue]
Although I didn't cry at that movie I did see it & thought it was very sad & touching at the same time. The movies that have made me cry in the past are as follows: West Side Story, The Notebook, & most recently Marley & Me. I cried like a baby after seeing that last one. [RobsWife10706]
So very many to admit to. The very first movie I ever cried at was The Champ. But it wasn't the last. Always with Richard Dreyfuss. Such a love story, yet with humor. He dies, but comes back as an "angel" who has to help a new pilot. The new pilot just happens to be in love with Dreyfuss' girlfriend. From before he died. Mighty Joe Young. Beaches. Of course, Ghost. Too many more to think of. [snowcat46]
The only movie Ive EVER cried watching was the notebook. No other movie no matter how sad it is has made me cry. [Jlyn22]
I dont uually cry at movies but the notebook makes me a little misty in their eyes.I cant help but feel for the guy who had to visit his wife when she had amnesia and when they died in each other arms after all they have been through was just the perfect ending to that movie. [ronnyb]
the movies that can make me cry are the sad kinds and heart touching stories. I like the Armageddon, Most of the time I watch Hindi movies and the one i would be glad to recommend if you watch them. Just my lot if you need to know what are the best one. [nornik]
i normally watch movies that are touching. I would say the the brave one was good. Armageddon really made me cry. The other movies that i watch are Hindi movies as they are about family, love and life happening. if you watch Hindi movies and need my opinion about some good movies let me know. I will let you know. [nornik]
I always cry when I see Penny Serenade. It stars Cary Grant and it's about a husband and wife that adopt a little girl. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it. It's a real tear jerker! [rocketj1]
I never cried as hard as I did when I watched the movie "Losing Isiah". Anything that has to do with a mother losing a child will bring me to tears. [kbourgerie]
It's a guy thing for me, I find it difficult to cry at the best of times, but there are two films that will get me crying but don't laugh at one of them I mention because it's true it really has me reaching for the mansize. The first is obviously Titanic now that will make any grown adult cry for sure, and secondly it's Star Wars, ok stop laughing but it's thinking about that lovely little boy turning into Darth Vader and when he turns he starts to kill the younglings, it's a story I know but it gets me everytime, damn I am too sensitive LOL. [wolfie34]
oh my, what makes me cry. well i cry alot. i cry at happy endings, sad endings. i aslo sry when someone lie on me, i cry when i get emotional. but, the last movie i watched that made me cry was the notebook, where the girl waas caught in the lovers triangle. it was so sad. [siddy_t]
I am a very sentimental person so all sad movies really make me cry. Braveheart, Up close and personal, Bridges of Madison County, Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption made me cry, they are great drama movies. [jlamela]
I always cry when I'm watching the movie, "The Way We Were" with Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford. It's such a tear-jerking story. But I do love that movie. Also, the movie, "Beaches" where the 2 women are friends and one is dying of cancer. That movie is quite sad. I've never seen "Ann of Green Gables" but I think I read the book several years ago. I should try to watch that movie sometime. [PearlGrace]
Pay It Forward The first time I saw it was at school, where I taught junior high. Part of it was shown as part of a program that the school was doing. Then another teacher and I decided to show the entire movie as a reward for the incentive program we did with our students. I didn't get to see the entire movie, as I was the door monitor, and was also keeping an eye on another classroom where the kids who didn't make the movie were being housed with a substitute teacher. BUT I did get to see the ending, and I will admit that I had to hold back the tears. Since then I have seen it many times and I cry every time even though I know what is going to happen. If I see that it is on the television, I will watch it, because it is that good. [idowrite72]
"hairspray", "rent", and "Schindlers list" [Sherrypeck19825]
movies that make me cry are HOTEL RWANDA, TEARS OF THE SUN, ARMAGEDDON [billgatexp]
I'm not really good when it comes to remembering names of movies i've seen. so although there might be several movies which have made me drop a tear or two from the corner of my eye, i can't remember there names right now, but i think Titanic was one of them, and 300 too.. [soki2ng]
One movie that made me bawl like a baby was "Empire of the Sun." Most recently I cried in "We Are Marshall," at least that is the one I remember most recently. The movie was over a year ago. [Canellita]
I will usually avoid movies that make me cry if I am aware of it beforehand. I once saw a movie called My Dog Skip. It was just so sad that I couldn't stand it. Of course I am a dog lover and it just tore my heart out. Life is hard enough without purposely adding to it. I would rather watch a movie that scares my socks off. [JABeau59]
I tend to cry in almost every emotional movie. That is why I avoid watching such emotional movies. [suruchi86]
