Sometimes I like to watch horror movies. That's because I want to see whether I will feel very scared to it. I want to test and challenge myself. If I feel very scared when I am watching the movie, that means to say this movie is very successful. As it's not so easy for me to be scared to a horror movielol

Watching horror movies is scaring but also thrilling and exciting .That's why even if that movie is shown in the middle of the night and my husband is sleeping already but i cant just refuswe my eyes to watch it because i wanna what's going on next and how things happen until the end. I watch them for the same reason. I just want to see if I will get scared and getting scared is a little bit fun if you do it with a friend. Its funny when you are too scared to even go to another room by yourself lol. I don't like the bloody, gory scary movies though. I can pass on those, they don't scare me, just gross me out. I only watch a scary movie at home. I had a fear because when I watched the Ring, it made me sleep for a month with the lights on. Really. I watch a horror movie just for a change, when I am fed up with love stories and romantic movies. I don't mean to frighten myself but just to have fun but end up scared anyway. And I remember, halloween is near and scary movies are everywhere. =O [iamcdy]
Actually I think the part in the well and the last scene are horrible for the movie the Ring. Other parts are not scarywink [youless]

Hi Youless I watch horror films so that I can be transported to another reality that isn't bound by the normal rules, and in which some struggle or other is inacted. The main reason is to give myself a scare - to get the adrenaline pumping, to remind myself that I'm still alive and that its at best, exsistence is temporary. [jimbomuso]

Horror movies dont scare me..havent for yrs BUT its my absolute favourite genre...Why? LOL because I'm sick and twisted and get a kick out of seeing ppl get tortured and cut up into little pieces and the like LOL...Seriously. I get a great deal of pleasure in watching horror movies, but not the slasher ones, with the pyscho running around that can't be killed or the horror films with monsters in they are just too funny, even with the special effects nowadays, I like a horror that is totally realistic and that could happen in our world! It's not far fetched and it's more scary. For example Hostel now that probably does happen, you see snuff movies so it stands to reason that a film like Hostel is very true to life, it also has a great storyline to it and I find it enjoyable to get into the story and see people getting killed, don't worry Wolfie himself is not a pyscho it's just a great tension reliever and a great escape. Saw is another great film series that I love to watch and really get into. [wolfie34]
I watched Hostel and I have to say that this movie really makes me feel very sick. I can't believe that human beings can be so cruel. I am not going to watch Hostel 2. It's not the horror movie type I like. [youless]

Lol ... youless, you are really brave to challenge yourself to watch the horror movies. I understand that, to you, only those movies which could really make you to feel frightened then are qualified to be the real horror movies, right? I think not only the scary appearances of the characters in the movies could frighten us. I feel that the horrific scene, background music, lighting effects and the unpredictable mysterious stories always play the most important rules to scare audiences while we are watching the horror movies. I believe to watch such movie alone in the dark would make the atmosphere more horrific, especially in the unfamiliar place, like hotel room alone during nighttime. Nowadays I try not to watch horror movies anymore, for the horrific and scary scenes would always appear in my mind vividly whenever I'm alone in the dark in somewhere unfamiliar. Hi youless, we would better don't let our kids to watch horror movies especially before bed time. This will make them to have frightening nightmare. It's fun to be scared when you know it's really make believe. I like the horror movies that are suspenseful (you are waiting for something bad to happen), rather than graphic ones with lots of blood and guts. For the graphic ones, I usually end up trying to figure out how the special effect was done, instead of being scared by it. [catdla1]

Hello, watching horror movies give me the thrill and excitement! although i do not like to watch horror movies, sometimes i will watch it with my friends. i personally like to watch action movies compared to horror movies because after watching horror movies i will feed scared and cant get to sleep. The last two movies that I watched that I might consider a kind of horror movie were Stepford Wives, and the Hand Maid's Tale. I watched them both because of their stories, and to see what could happen if the wrong people were in control of the world. I have no interest in a lot of special effects, I'm more interested in a good plot. [danishcanadian]

I like to watch horror movies frequently I don't know why. I like that horror movies when compared to other moveies but I don't know the reason behind this. The horror movies are very interested and exited movies, when we watch that we will very eagar to know about the next scene. [adihindu]

Hello youless. I think that it would be easier for a horror movie to be successful if you watch one without anyone else next to you. I mean, you watch alone with no one at home. Hi youless! watching horror movie is not for any reason I watch. Bcoz the remote control will be with my children i dont get that. They used to watch whatever movie theat I used to watch. I agree with you...I also want to test and challenge myself to know if I'm scared or not. Other than that, it's very exciting to see horror movies and to TRY to guess what's coming next or what's the mystery. I LOVE mysteriessss as long as they have good endings. HE HE HE HE...that's true. I used to be SO frustrated over that type of ending, but these days I don't want to bother. What I HATE the most nowadays is the type of "stupid" ending like in Stephen King's "The Mist". [ailema4ever]
