There are different occasions and accordingly my preference changes. Guess what at times I have to stand or sit on floor while I watch TV.That occurs when there is nothing to sit on. That usually happens when there is IPL or any other cricket match. But I can not watch throughout without sitting. Well normally I sit on chair while watching. Plastic chair, revolving chair, sofa, small stools, mattress, hell I have watched movies while sitting on our teapoy (small table for tea servings). Watching TV while on a bed is a delight I only have when I go to a hotel on holidays. Though I am quite grown up still my parents do not allow it. So in a nutshell I have used all type of objects in my house that can be used as a seat to watch TV. But in essence the viewing experience matters the most than the sitting experience. It depends on the programmes telecasted in the TV. Incase if it is very interesteing one, i use to sit on the Chair or Sofa and watch it fully.. Incase of any normal programme, i use to watch it by having a pillow at my head, in the sleepy mood. I have a sofa, chair both are at our hall, so, which ever is convenient and the programmes quality i will select the seat and sit and watch the same. There is no particular place where i will sit and watch the TV regularly. [chennai_b02]

It usually depends on what room me and my fiance are watching television in,if we are in our room watching television,we watch it while laying on our bed,but if we are in the den watching television,then we either sit on the couch or the love seat,and cuddle while we are watching television. I like watching the 8 o'clock morning news lying on my bed. I never switch off my TV as I enjoy listening music while going to bed. Though I have awakened I still have to take some time to shake off sleep, so I use the remote control to change to the channel of the morning broadcast. Besides I do like watching singing contest programs in the evening and I mostly enjoy watching them sitting in my rocking chair. When watching tv I normally either sit on the sofa, curl up on the sofa or lay on the sofa. We don't have any armchairs. If I lay on the sofa i tend to fall asleep. We have a tv in the bedroom which is good to lay on the bed with the children and watch a film with them. [Anne18]

Most often I sit in a chair but when I feel like lying down I sit in a portable bed that I can lay down so I really feel comfortable watching tv. When I settle in to watch some tv at night, i get a big cozy pillow off the sofa and lie on the floor with it. I don't sit when I watch TV, I lay down on the sofa. I only watch tv when the kids are off to bed and DH is playing on the computer. The computer is in the same room as the tv and it's like our way to relax. I watch the tv and will talk with him (I always do differents things on the same time) and he will try to play a game on the computer while listening to me yapping away ;-) [bieke81]

I sit in the arm chair because my husband sits on the couch. Oh and the Tv is in the living room and we can see if from the dining room, so we will watch Tv ans eat at the same time, but when there is something that both of us like, I will be sitting on the Easy Boy and my husband will be laying on the couch. That way we are not in each other's way. However when we have company, both of us will be on the couch and the company will have the chairs. [suspenseful]

Hello, as2006. I watch TV everyday. I'm sort of a TV junkie, I have it on when I'm cleaning and even while I'm surfing the internet. (Right now, the show called, Criminal Minds, is on). I usually sit on the sofa recliner with my laptop and the remote control between my husband and I. I've grown very accustomed to having my feet up in the evening, since we bought our first double recliner sofa 10 years ago. Plus, it's a great position for watching TV and surfing the internet. It's not only once that I've experienced eating and watching tv on the sofa at the same time; and sleeping on a sofa when I was still single. Whenever I do watch movies or tv shows on extended hours at night, I tend to sleep on a sofa with my pillow and blanket ready with me. In fact, I prefer sleeping on a sofa because I don't need to attend to my blanket in the morning anymore. I admit that I'm a bit lazy in this issue. I have never experienced falling from the bed or sofa down the floor. I guess I'm quite adjusted to sleeping on the sofa. If my memory serves me right, I first slept on a sofa when I was still a little child, when I was about five or six years old. However, I can't do this anymore because I'm already married for more than five years now and my husband won't permit me to sleep on the sofa, not beside him. [mykmari_08]

If I am using the computer while watching television I will use a desk chair. If I am in the living room watching television with my husband then I will sit or lay on the sofa. I find that I am watching more television while I am on the computer so I have been shopping for a new desk chair to sit in......unfortunately the ones I like are too expensive...I am waiting for them to go on sale before I get one.
