Ok, so I'm a big kid and young at heart! But I just love family films like Home Alone, Shrek and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory which I watched again probably for the fifth time last night, the one with Johnny Depp! Isn't just a great actor!
Being a chocoholic also endears me to this film and it would be lovely to be one of those children (Charlie definitely) going into to that chocolate factory where EVERYTHING was made of chocolate!
So for a fun discussion would you like to own a chocolate factory?
And what wonderful new sweets would you create?

Not really. I think i'd quickly become fat and ill if I did, not to mention my son who'd do his best to put us out of business aswell. I'd hate to own one, although in away it would be fun "creating" better chocolate bars for the kids of today, most seem to be dull and not as much creativity goes into them. least in my opinion ~Joey [joey_matthews]

I would love to own a chocolate factory, but it would not do me any good. I would be eating up all the profits. :) As for sweets to invent, there is the choco-minto dip, with layers of dark chocolate and creamy mint in a round ball, dark chocolate and mint color on a dark chocolate stick, the crushed pecan sensation - chocolate caramel smothered with pecans, the crushed almond sensation - the same version using almonds, the black chocolate surprise, a box of squares of dark chocolate with white chocolate stripes going diagonally over it and in every box, one chocolate surprise has buried in its center a diamomd, a coin, a cubic zircona, and the chocolates are liquer flavored so it is not for children. That is a fun discussion! But no, I don't dare! We still have chocolate from Christmas and I am trying to get away from it. Of course, that is my practical side. So never mind that answer, I"ll start over. I would like to see a bunch of little kids enjoying themselves at a chocolate factory! So sure. ..as long as I could get Johnny Depp to help me run it. I think that for everyone's sake, it would be safer to say that I would not be suited for the chocolate factory lifestyle. I would want to eat it all for myself, although I do enjoy sharing things, chocolate usually is last on my list of things to share lol It would be neat to try and invent new and exciting things. Yes, wolfie, I would love to own a chocolate factory for two reasons! One is, I would love to be able to give away so much chocolate. That would be a lot of fun. The other reason, of course, is so that I could eat it. But that would be very bad for me. Just this weekend I ate so much chocolate that it is truly a shame. Wolfie, if you ever in your life get the chance, visit Hershey, PA. It's where the Hershey factory is located. It's the most amazing place! I do not know when it changed but it was years ago. My best friend, brothers girlfriend and I went to Hershey for a weekend about 12 years ago and I was heart broken to see that they had changed it. Yes, we did go through the simulated tour but it just isn't the same getting two or three Hershey kisses handed to you as you are walking out the door at the end as it was sticking your hand out to stick your finger or hand into the chocolate like I remembered as a kid. Oh Dear me Wolfie. I could only own a Chocolate Factory if I was rich enough to hire heaps of staff. I would need security guards at each and every entrance. My uncle used to own a chocolate shop where he made his own chocolate and marizpan on premises. It was amazing. I am not even a huge fan of chocolate but there were certain chocolates that he made that I would just devour. It was recently sold, but it's a good thing for my stomach. i would go there and just load up on chocolate. I miss it, but I think I will be able to live without all of it. [yanxchick]

I don't think that I would want the hassles of owning a chocolate factory. howwever I would like to be a chocolate taist tester for a living. that would be awsome... getting paid to eat chocolate all day and think... you would not have to pack a lunch bacause you'll be eating chocolate all day for work. i think I needed to find a way for chocolate not to stick to my butt though. hi wolfie! yeah, i agree with you, i also love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well, i would want a factory, if it is like what Willie Wonka had...hehehe instead, my childhood fantasy is having my own playroom with lots of toys. i don't really aim for those expensive ones, i just want a room full of toys. and in the middle of the room is a chocolate fountain or spring that flows into a river. and all goodies float there and there are toy sailboats made of wafers, candy canes, etc. then the aroma of sweet chocolate permeates the air. i just didn't think of how to ward off ants, though, at they are pretty bountiful here in the philippines. lol anyway, that's my chocolate fantasy! As much fun as that would probably be I could never do it b/c I'd be eating more than I'm selling. Now pizza...I'd take the chance. By the way, for those that do like the idea of wanting to be a Choclatier there is a game on gamesville.com that is called Choclatier that is alot of fun. You own and operate several chocolate companies and have to travel to get ingredients and such. I've played it and it's fun. Yes, that is one of my dream to have a chocolate factory and I love to see kids that loves to eat chocolate like me. I love chocolates because of the taste that will last inside my mouth. If I had a chocolate facotory or store, I would try to recreate the fruit on a stick covered in chocolate that we used to get at fairs in Germany. I would have a love/hate relationship with it if I owned one. I love chocolate so much and have a hard time saying no when I am around chocolate. I probably eat chocolate at least 4 times a week. I am about 25 lbs. overwieght because of my chocolate addiction. So if I owned a chocolate factory I would also hate it because I would get soo soo fat.
