.........you are going to play Villain....
You have a choice who you want to play.
Please don't judge how bad is the character, you just play the role.
In what role can you show all of your talents?
[question posted by polachicago]
responses and comments:
I can play an emotionally battered wife.lol.I know how it feels to be one so I guess I can give justice to that role.I can also be a villain..when I was in high school and in college I am in to theater arts so I do stage plays.wink [pinks17]
Can you compare new role to any famous Villain? [polachicago]
Hi polachicago! If i have to choose and the option is to play the bad guy, i think i would play "Jack the ripper" :) Cause, the case has never been cleared and it would be a dark and creepy movie with lots of screaming and so on...hahaha...Have a very nice day, polachicago! [damato]
You better play well....lol...such a role...hard to play....lol [polachicago]
Hmm, this is a tuffy, pola. There are so many good characters from which to choose to show my range of villainous emotion. Let's see. There's Rob Roy (Liam Neeson), Dr. Frankenstein (Gene Wilder) in Young Frankenstein, E.T. the ExtraTerrestial, Clint Eastwood as Blondie in The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, Bruce Willis in Die Hard, I'll have to think about some more really nasty bad guys, pola. [Transdisc]
lol have been punk'd lol [polachicago]
Hmm, I would want to play King Kong, he's the most pitiful villian there ever was. I would want to have some sympathy as the villian...even be loved just a bit. LOL! [Irishfrndly65]
I love King Kong...I cried in the end...such a role....yes, king Kong get a lot of sympathy....we love guys in love... [polachicago]
Hello polachicago. I think I can play the sadaku in "the ring". She is a young girl who got killed and now is seeking revenge by killing people who saw the tape. I think the role and the face would fit me because I am small and i have long black hair. [aisaellis22]
she looks very scary.... [polachicago]
I choose the role Glen Close played in Fatal Attraction. That would be so fun!! She wasn't only evil, she was crazy! I think the Wicked Witch of the West would be a fun one, too! whistle [itsmefaith]
Faith, you are beautiful! happy [polachicago]
That is a tuff one but I guess I would avenge a battered woman by abusing the male that battered her. I would break both his arms after I made him eat a lb of prunes and a box of exlax. [muscles4me]
lollol you are the second person selected to change the role for comedy central...lol [polachicago]
i don't think being a villain is a bad thing. for example the last movies i saw is batman the dark knight. joker did great on the film. im actually watching more of joker than of batman. its in the way portray the character that matters [michael_nonan]
i think we should all do. it would be sad not to right? you could end up driving around in circles in the track we call "life". hehehe. [michael_nonan]
Wow! That's a tough one! I think I'd probably like to play Captain Jack Sparrow. I tend to go more for laughs in life, so I think that would suit me. [gantwick]
Captain Jack Sparrow is not that bad character...I love the movie....happyhappy [polachicago]
Funny this discussion goes up after talking to a certain somebody on the phone. Whether it's acting on a TV show, movie, or even a broadway play, there is usually the main star, at times, along with a co-star or two or more as partner(s) or sidekick(s), & then the villan, along with whatever partners or sidekicks, if any. Anyway, a while back, we had a conversation about Greek actors, & as a joke, he said that the names that I came up with made made Greeks look bad. One that was often known to play villans is Andreas Katsulas (Romulan captain in Star Trek: The Next Generation & G'Kar in Babylon 5). Another one was John Colicos. Even though he's considered Canadian, the friend said that it was a Greek name. He had a recurring role as a Klingon named Kor in two incarnations of Star Trek, as well as Baltar in the 1978-1979 version of Battlestar Galactica. Anyway, playing a villan is a large part. As my friend pointed out, most of these actors are good, kind people, & that makes a villan one of the hardest roles to play. What makes it difficult is showing that streak of evil that most good people do not have, & making the character look evilly real (or is it real evil?). I have not tried acting, so it would be hard for me to judge what I would be good in, or not good in. This much I know. Unless I was playing a character that had the same, or at least similar, qualities as me, it can get difficult. [KrazyKlingon]
Hmmm, I think it would be fun to play the villain in a movie. It is acting after all. I think it is probably a meatier role than playing the good guy all the time. I think playing Cruela De Ville in 101 Dalmations would be fun. Or the Meryl Streep role in The Devil Wears Prada. I think it would actually be fun! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!! happy [schulzie]
Cruela De Ville? yes, I saw that movie at least 50 times. My daughter favorite movie to watch....lol [polachicago]
i'd like to be a zombie or tht gal in the movie ring.....i too have long straight hair....so they dont have to get a wig for me [jismol]
not much to say to play the role...very pantomimic....wink [polachicago]
susan sarandon on enchanted, tia carrere on true lies, and maggie q. on die hard. wow i need to lose a lot of weight to portray their roles lol. lol. but i like such cool women when they play villain and they are so effective with the role that you want to twist their necks. how about you pola who do you want to play? [roniroxas]
I want to play Gargamel from The Smurfs (cartoons)....lol [polachicago]
The role that would show my talents would be a housewife of 19 years whose husband has carried on for a couple of years with an old highschool girlfriend, and abruptly leaves his family. The wife knows nothing of the affair, thinking everything was fine. Well, not fine but not on the brink of collapse. She loves her husband. Then he leaves, telling the two boys that he and their mother are getting a divorce while the wife is still crying in the bedroom...I could be the villain that foils the star-crossed high school lovers. I could play the wronged wife that kills the witch that pursued her husband for nearly twenty years. But I would do it so that it looked as if was drunk and drove her car off a cliff in her home state, something like that. Actually, I'm rather happy that my ex-husband is now happy. His "religious, born-again" wife is happy, too. After all those years of loving each other, they're together at last. I have two wonderful sons. She, however, has to deal with his drug addiction and I think that's the least she should have to pay for stealing the man I love and pretending to be my e-mail friend while she was doing it. If you make a movie of this, I expect some compensation!! At least a couple thousand dollars. [dragon54u]
perfect choice, lets start the job....wink [polachicago]
I really like watching AnkhSunamun (I think the spelling is wrong but I hope you know which one I mean) in The Mummy if only she didn't kill the Pharaoh, she would have been Queen, ruling a wealthy kingdom and thousands of slaves under her command yet she chose to die for her love. actually not love, because in the end of The Mummy II she left the priest to die alone. if only she helped this priest, they would've made a come back as the villain couple I'd like to play her but I would still marry the Pharaoh and be Queen. that's when my villainnes will begin. [LittleMel]
maybe you can write a script? [polachicago]
cat woman! not cat woman the good role but the villain in batman. hehehe... not that I'm a sexy as cat woman, but it is a really cool character [julise]
great choice, cat woman is very cute....wink [polachicago]
HI! Pola! If I am given a chance to act in a movie, it will not matter to me even if the role is of Villain. If I can act and I have talent, I'll show case my talent even in the role of a Villain. I will have to play the character in the movie, irrespective of the fact, how I am in the real life. LOL! Are you going to help me get a role in a movie...........!!lolhappy [dpk262006]
LOL! If you are going to help me, any role will do. [dpk262006]
You will hear many profesional actors say that they prefer to play the role of the villain because the part and character is more challenging than the good guy! I think I ould tend to agree with this viewpoint as it seems the bad guys get the best parts and the best lines in the films. Take the recent Batman film, Dark Knight. The Joker got all the best jokes! LOL! [MichaelJay]
Yes, bad guys have the best line...lol Dark Knight is such a role to play....wink [polachicago]
I would love to play the villain in the Star Wars movies, yes I know Star Wars has sadly finished and been put to bed, but I would love to play the role as a Sith or a villain who creates havoc in the galaxy, a bit like Darth Vader without the mask! It would be wonderful to be able to act out my vengeances and it's all legal LOL! And I would love to be able to hold a lightsabre too and start duelling with the good guys and seeing them off one by one! I like it when the bad guys win for a change and I would certainly change the status quo! Bring out Star Wars VII please!!!! [wolfie34]
I am very disappointed not to see you as a wolf....maybe half wolf and half man...lol Sith is hard to play, but role that everyone will remember. [polachicago]
would have to be the whole cast lololololol [Lakota12]
well darn guess I will be the villian some people love them lolololo [Lakota12]
I like to play the Villain because the capacity fo the hero depends on the villian and moreover villian wins win all the time and only loosess at the time of the climax but hero wins only at the climax [saichandtalluri]
you are right, we need the villain to be able to see hero...happy [polachicago]
Aw heck any villeonus role would do. Juast let me hack some people to pieces... Laughs meniacially w00t [uath13]
Always a ( Not so ) good boyscout! [uath13]
the roll Rebecca Demorney played in The Hand that Rocked the Cradlelol i've seen some people recently id like to treat that way(oooppss!sorry, daydreaming) i could never do it, but could play the nanny in that.whistle [bunnybon7]
yes she did and she was quite evil. getting revenge for her hubby's death or was it her baby? i forget. [bunnybon7]
If I was to play a villain it would have to be someone that was really hardcore and everybody hated or something. I'm not sure which role that I could show of all my talents, I would probably want to make up my own character because I'm not sure if anybody else' character could fit me perfectly. Of course in my movie the villain would win for a change. [jambi462]
remember you can be hired as an actor, not the movie director.... [polachicago]
Hey I learned how women are supposed to act from Julie Newmar playing Catwoman! She is still fantastic but I'd have killed (well maybe hurt somebody real bad) for that body in her heyday! Alas it's hard to be statuesque when you're only 5'2". Her legs are longer than I am tall.cry lol [craftcatcher]
I am 5'3"....wink We are perfect my friend....happy [polachicago]
Boy that would be a hard choice. I've done some little theater in the past and I always like the odd parts. I always enjoyed playing the villains. Lady Macbeth is a good one. The Glenn Close part in Fatal Attraction is also a good one. Even on the tv soaps I like the villainous women better. LOL! [jillmalitz]
you are the second person mentioned Fatal Attraction... lady Macbeth is a good one... [polachicago]
I guess a lot of people think Robin Hood was a villian even though many agree with his principals. I would love to take from the rich to give to the poor, so Robin Hood for me. I can't think of others. In Australia, Ned Kelly is considered a villian, but he's a folk hero, and has been played in films by Mick Jagger, and Heath Ledger, but he also shot and killed my great grandfather, so he's out. I can't think of any others. [mipen2006]
I don't think I could play a pert where I have to kill my own flesh and blood, so maybe another role played be Heath Ledger, The Joker, I think I would enjoy outsmarting Batman! [mipen2006]
I believe I would have to pick cat woman because she is playfully sinfull. And I like to have fun in all that I do in life. One of my goodfriends suffers from severe depression and when she starts in about the depression I always tell her its ok just have fun with it. [momwatittude]
Cat woman is such a character to play, great choice.... [polachicago]
The first thing that comes to mind (unfortunately...) is the role of the Joker played by Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight". Many many years from now we will be talking about the man who had a career performance and then by a freak of accidentalism ended up dying. The way he portrayed a bad guy that you could be empethetic with was just amazing. In contrast, the whole movie of "The Watchmen" was kinda about the same thing but did a horrible job. Thanks happy Zelo happy [zeloguy]
If you believe in me then I believe in me! Thanks happy Zelo happy [zeloguy]
well this one was very hard since i can not see myself doing really nasty things to my fellow humans. but if you mean how I WISH I could be it would be Monster in law, like Jane Fonda played in that movie. since i've had a bit of trouble with sons gf of late.but she knows how to butter me up and feel sorry for her. [bunnybon7]
You can be sweet Monster in law... HUGS [polachicago]
